We provide information as well as books, movies, audio and Ebooks, magazines, computers, wifi and other items to the citizens of Lawrence County.
The Lawrence County Public Library was established by the Lawrence County Commission in 1941. It is jointly funded by Lawrence County government and the City of Lawrenceburg. The main branch is located at 519 East Gaines Street in Lawrenceburg, with a second branch located at 102 South Main Street, Loretto. Birdhouses on the Library Green!
Many thanks to Mark and Beth of the Lawrence County Maintenance Dept. for mounting our birdhouses.
The birdhouses were built by trustees from the Lawrence County Jail.
The lumber was paid with funds from the Friends of the Library group.
A group of patrons from the library gathered to paint them so beautifully.

Summer Reading Week One was a success! We went on an adventure in the "forest" and went "camping." We went on a "bear hunt" and learned so much about our new friends. We ended our time together by making our very own miniature campsite. Thank you for all those who helped make week one a success! We can't wait for next weeks adventure, "Welcome to the Jungle." We hope to see you all there.
