Heat safety tips:
•🥗🫗Eat well-balanced, light, and regular meals. Avoid using salt tablets unless directed to do so by a physician.

Despite the various threats hurricanes pose, a significant number of deaths are attributed to inland flooding. Heavy rainfall extending hundreds of miles inland can inundate streams, lakes, and rivers, causing devastating flooding. In Pennsylvania, tropical cyclones have caused historic floods. While Hurricane Ida's recent flooding is fresh in memory, Hurricane Agnes (1972) and Tropical Storm Lee (2011) also left their mark on the Keystone State. A poster from the US National Weather Service Middle Atlantic River Forecast Center illustrates rainfall from these events.
