We cannot thank the congregation at Vista Ridge United Methodist Church enough! They donated 804 composition books for our students earlier this week! Our students will use a different composition book for each of the four subject areas throughout the school year. Thank you, VRUMC, for your continued support! We are so grateful for this partnership! 🐻💜🐻

Thank you to the management and staff at WalMart on Round Grove Rd in Lewisville for the donation of school supplies for our students and providing lunch for our staff last week as we were busy preparing our campus for students to return. It takes a village and we are grateful for this community partnership! 🐻💜🐻

A huge thanks to The Door Church in Lewisville for their donation of school supplies and backpacks earlier this week! These items are greatly appreciated and will be put to good use by our students. Thank you for thinking of our school and students. We are thankful for this partnership! 🐻💜🐻

We are so grateful for our community partnership with Vista Ridge United Methodist Church, and for all of their support. Thank you, VRUMC, for providing breakfast for our teachers and staff on Monday, before the first day of school. It was such a great way to start the year! 🐻 💜 🐻

And thank you, Rockbrook staff, for coming out this morning to show our appreciation and excitement for the new school year! Every one of our students and staff belongs! Some of our PTA Board members presented at our meeting this morning. We are so proud of and thankful for our PTA! They are “on fire” this year with lots of fun things planned for our school in an effort to “grow our Rockbrook community” and school spirit! Our admin team, with the help of our awesome cafeteria manager, are busy preparing for our teachers and staff this morning. Can’t wait to start the 20 24-25 school year and welcome our students back to the campus! It’s going to be an amazing year! GAME ON! 🐻💜🐻

We are so excited to welcome our new teachers and counselors to our staff! New professional staff joined mentor teachers, Mrs. Atchley and Mr. Uliasz, for their first official day on campus! Welcome to the Rockbrook family! 🐻💜🐻

LISD Family Notice:

Early this afternoon, in coordination with local law enforcement, Lewisville ISD Campuses in the City of Lewisville were placed in a Secure. During a secure, students remain or return inside the building, and all doors are locked. No visitors are allowed inside the building, but classes continue as normal.

This was done out of an abundance of caution while law enforcement officials investigated a situation in the Lewisville area. No threat was made against any of our schools. The district has no additional information about the situation, as it was a police matter unrelated to our schools.

Earlier in the day, an ambulance was dispatched to Lewisville High School - Killough to respond to a medical issue with a student. The two situations were unrelated.

Our Bears welcomed The Creature Teacher today as part of our STEM Night activities that had to be rescheduled due to last week’s storms. Students loved seeing a chameleon, a chinchilla, a Tegu lizard, a boa constrictor, and even a baby kangaroo! It was a great assembly! 🐻💜🐻

What a memorable day yesterday as we celebrated our Life Skills students in a very special awards/promotion ceremony! Thank you to everyone who attended and made the day extra special, including State Representative Ben Bumgarner, Platinum Auto Glass, Trotin the Comfort Dog, LISD Board Members, and our Superintendent, Dr. Rapp, among others. We thank you all for your support! It was a very special day for our Life Skills students, and staff alike! 🐻💜🐻

Our first grade Bears had the privilege of sharing their love of reading to the residents at Evergreen at Lewisville Senior Living this past week. Our students were so excited to get to read to the residents! Thank you for having our students as guest readers! 🐻💜🐻

What an honor to welcome back our Rockbrook alumni and graduating seniors from the Class of 2024 this morning! Our Bears cheered on our graduating seniors as they walked the halls of their former elementary school. Thank you to our former teachers who attended to cheer them on! Once a Bear, always a Bear! 🐻💜🐻

Our admin team treated our staff with sweets and treats during Teacher Appreciation Week on Friday! We love our teachers and staff and appreciate all that they do each and every day! 🐻💜🐻
