LISD Family Notice:

Early this afternoon, in coordination with local law enforcement, Lewisville ISD Campuses in the City of Lewisville were placed in a Secure. During a secure, students remain or return inside the building, and all doors are locked. No visitors are allowed inside the building, but classes continue as normal.

This was done out of an abundance of caution while law enforcement officials investigated a situation in the Lewisville area. No threat was made against any of our schools. The district has no additional information about the situation, as it was a police matter unrelated to our schools.

Earlier in the day, an ambulance was dispatched to Lewisville High School - Killough to respond to a medical issue with a student. The two situations were unrelated.

Future Farmer families, the Harmon track is included in Prop B which, if approved, would provide funding for maintenance and repairs.

The 7 non-stadium tracks included in Prop B, such as this example from Forestwood, have reached the end of their useful life, which is approximately 20 years for asphalt tracks and 10 years for synthetic surfaces.

Lewisville ISD's two aquatic centers are used by the district for teaching water safety courses to all second grade students, and house LISD swim, dive and water polo programs. Projects included in Prop A address maintenance & repairs to these facilities.

LISD is hosting an in-person PreK enrollment event at the Bolin Professional Learning Building (door entry E) on 1565-E Main Street, Lewisville, TX 75067, attached to the LISD Administration Building. The PreK enrollment event will be held on:
Thursday, April 11 from 8:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Friday, April 12 from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.

PTA Skate Night!

Our students have finished up the Skating Unit on Friday, April 5. Now we are ready to support the PTA for their PTA Skate Night Fundraiser. We hope that you can join us on Friday, April 12 at InterSkate. Students will bring home copies of a waiver either today or tomorrow that must be completed and given to InterSkate when they attend. Nuestros alumnos finalizaron la Unidad de Patinaje en Educación Física el viernes 5 de abril. Ahora estamos listos para apoyar a la PTA en su recaudación de fondos de la Noche de Skate de la PTA. The Southridge PTA is having a Chuck E Cheese Spirit Night this Friday, March 22 from 3 to 9 at the Chuck E Cheese located at 2402 S Stemmons Freeway in Lewisville, TX. Southridge students got to get a book to take home and enjoy thanks to Book Drive for Kids Free Book Fair. Students were excited to take a free book home of their choice! There was even a special guest from Chick-Fil-A! The Chick-Fil-A Cow visited and made many new friends. Thank you Book Drive for Kids and Chick-Fil-A!

Southridge Elementary conducted safety drills this morning. Students did a great job!

¡La Primaria Southridge realizó simulacros de seguridad esta mañana y los estudiantes hicieron un gran trabajo!

The PTA is hosting a Book Fair Monday, January 29 through Friday, February 2. The Scholastic Book Fair flyers were sent home with students this week. Please check your child's backpack! The book fair will be held in the cafeteria/Stage area. There will also be a time for parents to purchase books on THURSDAY, February 1 from 3:30-4:30pm.

La PTA organizará una Feria de Libros del lunes 29 de enero al viernes 2 de febrero. Los folletos de la Feria de Libros Scholastic se enviaron a casa con los estudiantes esta semana. ¡Por favor revise la mochila de su hijo! La feria de libros se llevará a cabo en el área de cafetería/escenario. También habrá tiempo para que los padres compren libros el JUEVES 1 de febrero de 3:30 a 4:30 p.m.
