We have awakened from our social media slumber.
In the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak, we are here to help the community as best we can. Your health is our priority. At this time, WELLadjusted will remain open with regular hours. We are taking extra precautions to sanitize the office to minimize the risk of exposure.
Regular chiropractic care has been proven as an effective method to boost and maintain a healthy immune system. During these unprecedented times, preventive health measures are essential!

🌿 Wellness Wednesday 🌿
Happy hump-day! Take a moment for yourself, wherever you are.
Here’s a seated variation of cat/cow that’s a little more office friendly! This set of poses improves spinal mobility, while giving you a great stretch.
Start by sitting upright in a chair. Ground your feet flat on the floor if you’re able. Roll your shoulders back and down with your arms relaxed at your sides. Engage your core, pulling your bellybutton into your spine. Sit tall. Breathe here for a moment.
As you exhale, round your spine and gently release your head toward the floor. Don’t force your chin to chest. (I like to extend my arms as if I were in a tabletop, but feel free to keep them at your side.) 🐈
As you inhale, lead with your chest, lifting toward the ceiling. Lift your gaze. This creates a small backbend. 🐄
Remember, this is a gentle stretch!
Continue breathing from cat to cow for a simple, flowing chair vinyasa.

It's finally feeling like fall!
What's better than eating a warm chili on a brisk day?
That's right! Nothing!
Vegan Quinoa & Sweet Potato Chili
1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 can white beans, rinsed and drained
1 can tomato paste (6 oz)
32 oz of vegetable stock
1 chopped onion
5 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tbs chili powder
1 tbs cumin
1 tsp oregano
1 tbs olive oil
1 sweet potato, peeled and cut into bite sized chunks
1 cup dry quinoa
salt and pepper to taste
avocado, cilantro for garnish (optional)
Heat the oil in a large heavy soup pot over medium low heat. Add onions. Cook until soft and begin to brown (about 10 minutes). Add the garlic. Cook about 2 minutes. Add the tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, and oregano and cook for about 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add the beans, stock, and potatoes. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes. Add quinoa. Continue cooking for about 15-30 minutes stirring frequently, until quinoa and potatoes are cooked and the chili has thickened. Add a bit of water if the chili becomes too thick for your liking. Top with avocado and chopped cilantro.

These were a hit last night!
Everyone was asking for this recipe--so here it is!
Ingredients:
3c blanched almond flour
(Dr. Williams used almond meal from Trader Joe's)
1tsp baking soda
1/2tsp sea salt
1/2tsp baking powder
3 eggs
2-3 very ripe bananas, mashed
1/2c honey (or maple syrup, agave, or xylitol)
1/4c melted coconut oil (or melted organic butter)
1tsp vanilla extract
1/4c chopped nuts (or in this case, chocolate chips)
Preheat oven to 350°F
Greaser 12 muffin tin. Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl. Mix wet ingredients in a medium bowl in order listed. Add wet mixture to dry mixture. Stir just to combine. Fill muffin cups. Bake about 20 minutes. The tops will be sent and spring back when lightly touched.
And voila! A gluten-free treat that tastes amazing!
