Today our drama girls group learned moulage. This is the art of applying mock injuries for the purpose of training medical or emergency response teams….this can also be used for special effects wounds and bruises for filming in movies or TV. It was SO fun and everyone healed up before heading home! They did such a good job, we need to say all the injuries in this post are FAKE!

Yesterday was wear orange day! this brings awareness to ending gun violence. Leadership Academy participated in a local gathering with several organizations and city officials in hopes that the message is heard. One life lost to violence is one too many. Doesn’t matter if it’s within a school, home, community, etc. Our prayer and our work each and every day is to have a safe and successful community. It’s going to take all of us, in many different ways, to make this happen. Thank you to all who support Leadership Academy and continue to pray for our city!

One of our favorite traditions is to send off our 5th graders with some kind words and a pie in their face! We will miss them, but not for long because they get to move up to our middle school programs. It’s always such a bittersweet day….but it also means camps and summer are almost here ☀️ ✌🏼

THANK YOU to those of you who have given to our mission of providing healthy, accessible local foods to our community.
It’s not too late to give! Do you have $30, $60, or even $180 to feed a family this year? https://donorbox.org/woodhill-international-market-fundraisier
Our first market is in 45 days! With your help, families facing food insecurity will once again have the opportunity to receive fresh, locally sourced food at an affordable price. But, in order to meet the massive demand for food shares in 2024, we need your help.
Over the next five days, our volunteer-led WIM team will be raising $10,000 to help local families and children access healthy farm-fresh food.
We believe ALL families have the right to access the healthy food they need to thrive.
Help us reach our goal by donating at https://donorbox.org/woodhill-international-market-fundraisier
