Today’s “Why DB Wednesday” features the Dancer Relations committee! Hear from Caroline, Christy, Anna, & Alison on why they got involved and continue to stay! We are 10 days away from DB24! 🎗️🤍
Caroline: “My “Why I DanceBlue” changes all the time the more I experience and get involved. I DanceBlue for the kids and families in the clinic and so that one day we no longer have to. I DanceBlue for Jarrett Mynear’s mission that has created this beautiful and joyful community. Being involved in DanceBlue has shown me that joy truly can be so healing and this organization makes me so proud every single day.”
Christy: “Being apart of DanceBlue has been one of the best parts of my college experience. However, my “Why DanceBlue” changes quite a lot. I DanceBlue to keep Jarrett Mynear’s legacy well known. I DanceBlue for every child in the clinic that I get to meet and those who I never will know. I DanceBlue for the families and friends of those who are undergoing their journey. I DanceBlue for all of committee, dancers, team captains, clinic staff, and the chair team. To me, DanceBlue is joy, hope, and love. I’m forever grateful for this organization!”
Anna: “I DanceBlue to spread joy to every corner of Kentucky, especially to our kids and families in the clinic who need it most. I DB to show them that they are not fighting alone, and will always have us supporting them until the battle is won! And lastly, I DB for all the amazing people involved with the organization: the dancers, our committee, alumni, clinic families and staff, and everyone who supports us. I am grateful to be a part of this organization every day!”
Alison: “I DanceBlue to be a part of something bigger than myself! DanceBlue makes such a huge impact on not only the kids and families in the clinic, but to every single person that is a part of it. From committee, to dancers, volunteers, supporters, alumni, etc. every person is a part of a community that is focused on spreading Jarrett’s mission. Seeing and being a part of this impact has been an experience I will never forget. I DanceBlue for the joy it brings every single day to those who need it the most!”
As we get closer to marathon, let’s reflect on all the hard work committee has put in this past year. Sundays are dedicated work days where all of committee comes together to prep for the marathon. We do run throughs of Programming activities, practice the line dance, work on graphics, and everything in between. Getting to bond and get work done ahead of time will set us up for success! We are so excited to be in Rupp Arena & are counting down the days until April 6th - 20 days! 💙🎗️
