Today was the Annual Fall Protection Stand Down at Abbott! Always an excellent reminder of why Safety Practices matter, and this year included an exciting physical demonstration of a fall rescue, by the The Libertyville Fire Department. One Way Safety participated with safety gear including fall protection. Thank you to Abbott and Abbvie for hosting, and to OSHA U.S. Department of Labor for the reminders and statistics!

Thank you to Three Rivers Manufacturers' Association - TRMA and Joliet Junior College for hosting the Workers Memorial Day ceremony today. Both IL House 97th District Representative Harry Benton (also a Union Ironworker) and State Senator Rachel Ventura provided news and history of the Proclamation of Workers' Memorial Day. OSHA's James Martinek and Kristine Lynn, along with TRMA's Ray Woodworth provided heartfelt recognition of workers lost this past year.
