I just wanted to share with everyone that we have raised over $6000 thru the Turkey Trot. I have to take out the tee shirts but we will be giving back to each of our 3 beneficiaries $1898. We are still accepting any donations but I wanted to share this great news with you all and thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting the Turkey Trot . We are already thinking of ways to make it better next year! Have a wonderful holiday season to all of you and your families! You made my holiday season brighter!

Another way to contribute to our turkey trot, and dress up your dog to show your spirit and support! We will have purple and aqua bandannas in honor of Charlotte and Kyras colors. We will take donations the day of for your bandanna! How SWEET is this donor! Fairly new to downtown Libertyville! Stop in for sweets and ice cream! Sugarville will have 10 runners in the Turkey Trot this year and they have donated some coins for scoops of ice cream that we will hand out at the Turkey Trot! They are also donating to our Libertyville Local gift basket! Thank you Sugarville for your donations and for being a part of our amazing town and community!

We will have additional raffles that day (more info to come). There will be an amazing Local Libertyville basket with lots of gift cards and goodies and a dog basket that all the dogs are going to fight over! We will have a 50/50 raffle that day and will be taking donations for dog (or people!) bandanas in Charlotte and Kyra's colors to show your support! Every year proceeds from Tracey's Turkey Trot go to an amazing local organization. This year we have 2. Animal Education and Rescue of Lake County (AERA) and Charlottes Hope. Today I am featuring AERA and why we support them. These are 2 of my dog friends that they have saved! It costs a lot of money for vet bills for the animals they take in that are sick, abused, abandoned, and many other issues. If you have a pet with any health issues you know what I mean. Now multiple that by the dozens of animals they take care of. Both Summer and Blossom in these pictures are thriving under their care! The shirt was designed by a local sixth grader who was friends with Charlotte, who recently lost her battle with cancer. The shirt reflects the dog for a Animal Education and Rescue, ladybugs and the color purple for Charlotte, and then the feathers for the turkey trot.
