Lyn Leach was presented with Lincoln Rotary Club 14's 2024 Golden Wheel Award at the recent Rotary District 5650 Conference.
Lyn Leach leads the Roughriders Motorcycle Riding Group, an organization that raises ~$45K annually through events and sponsorships. The group picks a dozen families experiencing hardship and visits their homes with a heartwarming donation leading up to the holidays, and supports local nonprofits such as Make-A-Wish, Center for People in Need and Autism Family Networks. To Lyn, the "Golden Wheel" symbolizes the motorcycles used to deliver donations.
Each of the 38 Rotary Clubs in District 5650 hosted a Golden Wheel honoree selected by their members at a special dinner on October 14 as part of the Rotary District 5650 Conference. The recognition is given to a non-Rotarian in the community who is giving back through service.
