Registrations to hire an intern for the Spring Cohort 2025 of Intern Foundry are now open! Purpose-driven businesses, public sector organizations, and nonprofits are all welcome to sign up now for this unique opportunity to add capacity and talent to their team with a student from University of Nebraska-Lincoln Honors Program.

Given the aim of the program is to address community need with meaningful work-based learning, there are limited spots available in order to make this experience as rich as possible.

The Foundry will be closed tomorrow for Juneteenth. We recognize this day as a day for community awareness, celebrating the liberation of enslaved people, and a step toward our work to ensure the equal justice of Black people in the United States.

We are so sad for our friends and Foundry members who had to make the difficult decision to cancel the parade today due to damage and loss caused by last night’s storms. We’ve seen them working so hard to plan this event for our community.

Cleanup efforts begin this afternoon, if you'd like to help. Additionally, they are accepting donations to help cover equipment losses.

The Intern Foundry (IF) program is an intentionally designed partnership between the Foundry and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Honors Program to address the “brain drain” in Nebraska by pairing the University's highest-achieving students with meaningful work-based learning opportunities addressing critical areas of high community need.

Last week we presented each of our high-achieving students with a certificate, and honored Drew Baldridge and Matt Price, our Intern Foundry Coordinators, with a plaque commemorating their important work.

Our small ceremony featured speeches by Dr. Julie Murray-Jensen, Executive Director of the Foundry; Dr. Patrice McMahon, Director of University Honors (Nebraska Honors) at University of Nebraska-Lincoln; and Cathy Lang, Senior Advisor to the President of the University of Nebraska.

We are thrilled to share that we’ve launched our Intern Foundry Summer Cohort Health Pilot for 2024! Connecting high-achieving students with health-related internships at incredible organizations has been a real joy. We’re so proud of this next cohort and look forward to sharing their accomplishments as the program continues.

The Nebraska Table is proud to be a member of the Nebraska Voting Rights Restoration Coalition, which successfully passed legislation to remove the two-year waiting period and restore the right to vote for thousands of Nebraskans.
