THANK YOU to each and every camper that joined us at camp this year, and THANK YOU to all of the families that trusted us with their kiddos! We were blessed to get to work with AWESOME campers that improved so much throughout the duration of camp! We had a blast getting to know youth from across the country while having the opportunity to enhance their abilities! ‼️ Camp Day 2 was AWESOME ‼️
We would like to send a BIG Thank You to the crew at Burch Livestock for having the campers out today to learn about their operation! The students were given valuable, hands-on information regarding sheep reproduction and the importance of having top-notch breeders so that we can partake in livestock judging while hearing from the producers who know first-hand how to generate livestock that will progress our industry!
The campers have been hard at work sharpening their evaluation and oral reasons abilities through engaging in activities with their peers and counselors — while having a blast!

Winners Unlimited Camp | Animal Science This camp is geared toward youth 7-18 years of age who have an interest in competitive livestock judging. The camp covers content on all of the livestock species including cattle, hogs, sheep, and goats. Youth will learn about the priority traits that we use when evaluating livestock and gain basic....

The first ever UNL Livestock Judging golf outing was an absolute blast and we truly appreciate everyone joining us for such a great day! A HUGE thank you goes out to all of our sponsors, this event simply wouldn’t have been possible without you. Thank you to all of the participants and anyone that helped run the event. Also, congratulations to the Mid-Nebraska Feeds team for winning the event with an impressive day at -12. We look forward to hosting this event again next year and hope you’ll join us!

We’re excited to announce that entries are officially open for the 2024 UNL Livestock Judging Camp to be held June 5-7 here on east campus this summer! We’re pumped about another opportunity to host a great group of youth here at the animal science complex and we hope you’ll join us for this high level experience. Entry deadline will be May 20th so make sure your entries are postmarked by then! The Huskers had a great trip south to finish the spring in Houston. This group has shown a ton of resilience and work ethic that’s allowed them to continuously improve since January. We’re proud of the progress they’ve made and can’t wait to get back to it this fall! Thank you to all of the operations that allowed us in to workout before the contest. Results below.

It was a successful trip to Texas for the Huskers over the weekend! This team continues to make strides of improvement and we couldn’t be more proud of all the work they’ve put in to this point.
