SMA - Swanson's Martial Arts

Wow!! What a haul!! 🤩 SMA held two drives for the Lincoln Food Bank this year. The first one is held during our tournament that was held in June and second is during our August Class in the Grass. We donated 260 pounds of food and $544 dollars!!!

We want to thank our students, their families and those who donated during our tournament. The staff at the food bank were thrilled to see the donations!

What a great event today! Several students and instructors came out to learn some Krav Maga from FIMA (Federation of Israeli Martial Arts.)

Red Effect Media will be back at SMA again this year for professional photos. Dave Burke at Red Effect is the best martial arts photographer in the business. He will be at SMA September 5th through 7th.

Five minute time slots available
Thursday, September 5th: 4 pm to 6 pm
Friday, September 6th: 4 pm to 6 pm
Saturday, September 7th, 10 am to 2 pm

As an added bonus, any students who sign up for a photoshoot may also attend a Nunchucks seminar taught by David Burke. The nunchucks seminar is Friday, September 6th 6 pm to 8 pm.

All students participating will also be featured on the school poster in the office!

Master Nicole and Master Jason Swanson are back from Korea. Here are some of the highlights from the trip to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of Chungdokwan Taekwondo.

Summer Camp board breaking.👊💪🥋

We had an amazing first week of summer camp. We practiced Taekwondo, learn sword basics, did crafts, played dodge ball, had nerf battles, spent time outside everyday, went swimming, visited the library and jumped like crazy at Urban Air Adventure Park.

Great Father's Day class. Time with family can't be beat.

It's officially summer! Last day of school for LPS but also the 2024 SMA summer T-Shirts have arrived. Orders can be picked up in the office. Students may wear an SMA T-shirt instead of the long sleeve top, with uniform pants and belt. Prior year shirts are also approved but it must be an SMA T-Shirt.
