The City Council will meet once during the month of July due to the summer recess that was adopted as part of the FY24 budget.

The next City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024.

Commission and Committee meetings held in July will not be affected by the summer recess and the meeting agendas can be found via the City’s OneMeeting portal at https://longbeach.primegov.com/public/portal?fromiframe=true

There have been some changes to the parking location for the February 6th and February 13th offsite City Council meetings.

The meetings will be held at Long Beach City College, Liberal Arts Campus, Building T, Room 1100 at 4901 East Carson Street.

The parking lot located at Clark and Lew Davis Street will be a fully dedicated City Council parking lot for the meetings.

📢City Hall offices and public services will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24, including commercial services typically available at City Hall, such as the Permit Center (located on 2nd floor), Cashiering/Payment Processing, Utility Customer Service, Billing and Collections, and Parking Citations. The public is encouraged to continue taking advantage of the convenient online resources available on the City website, including building permit services and bill payment options.

🚚Street Sweeping: There will be no scheduled street sweeping or enforcement of street sweeping violations on Thursday, Nov. 23, or Friday, Nov. 24. Street sweeping will resume its regular schedule on Monday, Nov. 27.

🚓Parking Enforcement: Read your parking meter: Citywide parking violations, including parking meters, will be enforced on Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24, unless the meter states “Exempt on Holidays.” The days and hours of enforcement are displayed inside the meters.

🎫People may pay parking citations online 🔗 https://www.citationprocessingcenter.com/LongBeachCitations/citizen-search-citation.aspx, in-person in the City Hall lobby (cash, check or money order only) or over the phone by calling 562.570.6822. People are encouraged to pay citations on time to avoid any late fees or penalties.

🚛Refuse/Recycling: Trash and Recycling will be collected as scheduled on Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24.

🚙Towing and Lien Sales:The Towing Operations and Vehicle Storage Facility (3111 E. Willow St., between Temple Avenue and Redondo Avenue) will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24. Normal business hours are:

·Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
·Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
·Closed Sunday and holidays.
·Vehicles and property are available for release outside of the hours listed above for an additional fee. More information can be found online.

📚Libraries: In addition to the holiday closure of all Long Beach Public Library locations on Nov. 23 and 24, the following branches will also be closed on Saturday, Nov. 25: Alamitos, Bach, Brewitt, Burnett, Dana, Los Altos, and Bay Shore (temporarily closed for renovations). All other Library locations and the main phone line will be open during regular business hours on Nov. 25. Library patrons are encouraged to utilize the Library’s vast collection of digital resources, including the Library catalog, downloads, and databases, available 24/7.
