Newcomb Academy Foundation

Families raising funds to support education enrichment programs at Newcomb Academy in Long Beach, CA.

The purpose of the Foundation is to develop and provide a permanent source of supplemental funding for improving the quality of education at Newcomb Academy.

08/30/2024

Did you know that thanks to the success of last year’s fundraising these girls and all TK-5th graders will participate in a robotics enrichment program this year!? It is brand new this year because of the generosity of our community last year. It’s just one of the many programs we are able to support but we can’t do it without you!

Throughout the year we have 4 different fundraising events - Fall Donor Drive, Fall Casino Night, Apex Spartan Sprint, and our Golf Classic. The Fall Donor Drive is the one with the biggest bang for your buck - almost your entire donation goes straight to these support programs since there aren’t event costs associated with it.

Donate today and feel secure knowing you’re contributing to our amazing school community! The link is in our bio!

This year our net goal is to raise $150,000 to continue our support of vital programs. The Foundation has already committed $143,840 to Newcomb Academy for the 2024/2025 school year because of the generosity of our community last year! This funding will profoundly impact our students by supporting STEAM enrichment programs, including Science Lab, Music, Art, Middle School Drama, and an exciting new Robotics program for TK-5. Additionally, we’ve protected our Literacy and Math Intervention for K-5 and are continuing STAR Tutoring to provide essential support in core subjects. The Foundation is also proud to support the Middle School Scholarship Program, fostering community service and academic excellence among our middle school scholars.

Give in the way that feels most comfortable for your family. You can give with time, money, event participation, or all of the above! We are happy you’re here and can’t wait to get to know you! The link to our donation drive is in our bio. ❤️

Dear Newcomb Community,

On behalf of the Newcomb Academy Foundation, I want to express our gratitude for your incredible support this school year. Your support has been the cornerstone of our success, whether you donated and joined our membership drive, volunteered to produce a totally rad 90s party, pledged $1 per lap for the Apex Spartan Sprint, perfected your swing at our Golf Classic, or joined the dark side at our Star Wars themed Casino Night – every effort, big and small, has propelled us to surpass our fundraising goal.

Thanks to your remarkable generosity, we have committed an astounding $143,840 to Newcomb Academy for the 2024/2025 school year! This funding will profoundly impact our students by supporting STEAM enrichment programs, including Science Lab, Music, Art, Middle School Drama, and an exciting new Robotics program for TK-5. Additionally, we’re protecting Literacy and Math Intervention for K-5 and continuing STAR Tutoring to provide essential support in core subjects. The Middle School Scholarship Program will also persist, fostering community service and academic excellence among our middle school scholars.

The Newcomb Academy Foundation is powered by parent and care-giver volunteers united by a shared goal: to provide our children with an exceptional, well-rounded educational experience. Our collaboration is driven by the belief that it’s all for the kids, and we find meaning in working together to make a difference. We warmly welcome everyone to join us, and we look forward to expanding our vibrant community next year.

Until then, we wish you a relaxing and fun summer break. Your support makes everything possible, and we can't wait to continue this journey with you.

Go Spartans!

With heartfelt gratitude,
