It was so wonderful catching up with these amazing physicians last night at . Great food with great colleagues.
I was recently interviewed by the Los Angeles Times about the fading tradition of the Chinese Zodiac influencing family-building.
It may be a fading tradition – but it’s not altogether forgotten. Since Western medicine is based on scientific research and clinical knowledge, people who come to a modern fertility center usually expect to be treated based on scientific evidence. Here at RMA Southern California, our approach to fertility care is rooted in science and guided through individualized patient-centered care – providing the safest treatment options for mom and baby. We respect people’s beliefs and always try to understand and accommodate their wishes.
2022 brings the Year of the Tiger. Are we in for a passionate, tumultuous year? For some, Chinese astrology is a guide to making responsible decisions. For others, it's fun folklore. Either way, what should we know about the Year of the Tiger?
As public awareness of women's fertility preservation is gaining momentum, it’s great to see more businesses supporting their employees with fertility benefits.
Efficient egg freezing is truly a breakthrough technology which can literally emancipate women from the bo***ge of their biological time clock.
Hats off to Loeb & Loeb LLP for adding fertility and family-building benefits through WINFertility to their benefits.
I'm excited and proud to be a part of this fertility preservation and family planning movement.

Before I was a Reproductive Endocrinologist, I was an Navy doctor who served my country during Operation Desert Storm. Every 9/11, I reflect back on the day -
I was released from the Navy the day before, on 9/10/2001, and started a 30-day terminal leave before transitioning to civilian life. As I watched the twin towers fall on TV, I was shuddering with nerves and anger. After 15 years of active duty, fighting for this country is ingrained in my core.
During this time, I was preparing to join a new medical practice in Los Angeles, where I have committed to support our military men and women. We currently offer discounted IVF treatment fees to active military and their families.
I will never forget the sacrifices that military men and women have made for this country. I am blessed, and it is a privilege to live where I can work, think and live freely and safely.

Dr. Kim initially set out to become an internist until his own infertility issue shifted his professional path. After two years of treatment, Dr. Kim and his wife fulfilled their dream of becoming parents.
“It was an enlightening experience which piqued my interest in reproductive medicine and the technology that goes with it,” he says. “So I decided to change my career path to became a Reproductive Endocrinologist.”
Following his fellowship training at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda Maryland, Dr. Kim started the first military IVF program on the West Coast. Since its inception in 1998, the program has helped thousands of active duty military personnel fulfill their dreams of parenthood. After an honorable discharge from the Navy in 2001, Dr. Kim founded an IVF clinic in Los Angeles, in collaboration with CHA medical group, to pursue his interest in egg freezing as a fertility preservation option for women. He and colleagues published a landmark paper on egg freezing, which was considered experimental at the time.
