The Rancho Dominguez America's Job Center of California will be hosting a weekly Resume Building Workshop! You will discover how to write a resume that will grasp the attention of recruiters and hiring managers. Learn the rules for formatting resumes. Discover what you can do to make yourself stand out from the competition.

The workshop will also teach you how to avoid the most common mistakes made on a resume. By the end of the workshop, a professional will be looking over your newly written resume for tips and advice!

Nicole, 40, attended a recruitment event held by Community Career Development, operator of the Wilshire Metro WorkSource Center.

With the program's help, she has regained her confidence and has taken steps to find her own apartment and purchase a vehicle. Nicole is now in her final steps with Metro and is on the road to a career as a bus operator.

Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation presents a free event where girls ages 12-18 can join live and in-person from Loma Alta Park, Earvin “Magic” Johnson Park, and the Hacienda Heights Community Center. Participants will hear from powerful women innovators, educators, trailblazers and beyond!
