Want to write the perfect election season sketch, or satirize your favorite binge-able show? Genre Sketch w/Megan Sass is designed for those who know the basics of sketch writing and want to dive further into more specialized satire/parody! Over 8 weeks, we will cover different genres of satire, including Sci-Fi, Period/Historical, Political, Horror, and Pop Culture using different sketch comedy styles such as commercial parody, talk show, and front-facing video character sketch. Students will write sketches in each genre at least once, with the last two weeks reserved for students to further practice the genre of their choice.
