DC Service Corps is an 11-month service leadership experience for young adults (ages 21-35) that desire to participate in a Catholic program with a Franciscan heart. With a focus on professional and spiritual development through service in the DC community, DC Service Corps facilitates the integration of faith into all aspects of one’s life.
We have opportunities to serve at the FMS headquarters and with partner agencies in a variety of roles. From designing promotional materials as the FMS Communications Associate to connecting individuals experiencing homelessness with important resources to mentoring high school students from families with limited resources, our volunteer opportunities allow you to use your gifts and make a difference.
In addition, all volunteers live in intentional community, pray together, and strive to be witnesses to justice and peace. Each week, you’ll also gather as a cohort with other DC Service Corps volunteers for leadership development, guided reflection, and discussions focused on integrating faith into your service experience.

The Summer Pathway Program, hosted by Cornell University’s Migrations initiative, is looking for applicants to attend their fully-funded research-focused Summer 2022 program! The program provides hands-on research training to underrepresented minority students who are interested in (broadly) researching migration, and teaches them valuable research skills such as conducting interviews, collecting data, professional development, and more. The one-and-a-half-week program consists of both virtual and in-person research workshops and training, with awardees staying at the Cornell Ithaca campus for the in-person portion.
