Ms.Robin is inviting parents and guardians to attend "Trauma - Informed Parenting: Caring for Yourself and Your Child" Workshop afterschool on 10/12.
The teachers and staff have been doing Social Emotional Learning work with Arlène Casimir. She will be working with our teachers this coming Thursday, October 12, 2023 during the school day. After school, Arlene will be hosting a parent workshop from 3:30 until 4:30 p.m. The workshop will be an "in-person" workshop.
In this parent talk, author, educator and researcher Arlène Elizabeth Casimir will share how we can notice the ways individual and collective trauma of our own experiences and those of our children can go unnoticed. She will also provide a healing and transformative toolkit for caring for ourselves and our children throughout the many ups and downs of these crucial developmental years. Her works honors your intuition, resilience and well-being. Youâll also learn the kinds of proactive trauma informed practices teachers are using to honor the whole child and uplift their joy even in uncertain times. This week we spotted lots of chrysalis and caterpillars getting ready to wrap themselves up for a transformation. Butterflies are on their way!
