Engage The Vision

The privilege of being able to assist in such an awesome task comes with a great responsibility, which we acknowledge. ETV is a non-profit organization.

Engage The Vision is comprised of individuals in many different areas of life all coming together to network, collaborate, encourage and establish a sense of support to the children in our communities, and helping them achieve their vision. We understand the importance of role models, and ETV lends itself to mentor “at risk” youth in our communities who are in need of the same encouragement, supp

You’re a special person if you’ve mastered talking to kids without being harsh or cynical with your words.

We want to make a special shout-out to all the teachers, mentors & parents who are learning to teach our kids without criticizing them in the process.

Every problem has a solution. You just have to be creative enough to find it. We love seeing our queens use their creative and critical thinking skills to overcome challenges and work together. 👑

We hope everyone is having an incredible start to 2022, and a fantastic Friday so far! 💛

Anything is possible when you have the right people around you. We love seeing our little kings supporting each other! 👑

It’s all about the journey, right? ✨

You’ve probably heard our incredible mentors talk about the process of mentoring and the joy that comes with it. Not only are they instilling confidence and a sense of capability in the students we work with, they’re reaffirming their own worth. 👑

When you give to others, you often remind yourself how capable you are. You have the power to make a difference, and to impact the community around you. You CAN bring more good into this world, spread joy, and fill each room you walk into with positivity. 💛

Is mentoring on your list of New Years resolutions? What about getting more involved in your local community? If it isn’t, it should be! 👑

✨ Make 2022 the year you start giving back. Share your talents. Mentor or tutor students. Help those struggling with homelessness. Change a life.

When someone says that they wish our loved ones could live forever, I’m tempted to reply, “they do”. Thom Washington was a pastor, a father, a husband, and a leader who not only helped found Engage the Vision, but inspired change within our communities for years to come. His impact has touched so many lives in ways that we haven’t even experienced yet. His kindness, sense of giving, intelligence, and joy are within us all and will continue to be alive as we honor his legacy. We are better people because of Thom.

When we began Engage the Vision, we knew one thing, that we wanted to change lives. We knew that we wanted to positively impact the world around us with youth mentorship, community support, and an outpouring of love. Thom was in no short supply of love, and it was clear that he would be a pillar of strength for Engage the Vision to build upon. We are so grateful that he was such a big part of our lives.

We ask that you help us honor Thom’s life this next week by practicing some of the characteristics that he lived so well. Be a little kinder this week. Share your passion for music with someone. Be creative. Embrace challenges. Love those around you.

To Thom: We love you, we miss you, and we will continue to celebrate you and your gifts to this world. Thank you for everything.
