Mario’s culinary leadership spans nearly two decades with a wide variety of experiences. From a corporate chef position at the iconic Two Michelin Starred Acqua in San Francisco 19 years ago, to doing pop-ups in New York City, from leading vast and complex culinary departments at luxury hotels, to leading the kitchen at BLT Steak in Miami—Mario has done it all.

But more than his experience, what we’re most excited about, is how aligned he is with our vision of hospitality. Mario joins our team with the conviction that real hospitality is about leveraging our craftsmanship on behalf of your special gatherings so YOU feel celebrated and valued, as opposed to leveraging your special occasions as an opportunity for US to feel celebrated and valued for our craft.

We're calling all lovers who have bravely pursued one another amidst a global pandemic, which has made togetherness more difficult than ever. The lovers who’ve said now is all I’m really promised, so let’s live. The lovers who’ve fought to find and know the person they want to do life with.

To the lovers who got engaged over the holidays and are taking the leap to tie the knot — this one’s for you.

A big congratulations to all the engaged couples! What an incredible moment in your life to celebrate and be alive. This is special. Enjoy every second of it. I’m sure you’re already dreaming up all sorts of decor visions and pinning ideas for your wedding.

Amidst all the excitement though, you’re likely also feeling a bit hesitant as you figure out how to get married during this pandemic. Will the world be “back to normal” by June or July? How do I host a wedding this year or next and ensure everyone is safe? Where can I get married and when?

Our oven-ready family meals are perfect if —
1. You’re over 2020 and simply want to kickback and relax, stress-free without cooking and cleanup, or
2. You have elderly family members, dedicated staff, or other important people in your life who either can’t be with you or would simply be super blessed by getting a holiday meal delivered to them.
Thanksgiving meals must be ordered by end of day today, Friday 11/20/20, and Christmas meals must be ordered by end of day Friday, 12/18/20. So, get your order in today!

Are you feeling the fatigue, discouragement and exhaustion too?

This season has been so weird. So overwhelming. So exasperating. The state of the world as a result of COVID (then throw in a tumultuous election year) has us navigating things we never would have imagined.

Distance learning for our kids. Working from home. Prolonged time away from friends and family. Home nearly 24/7 with limited opportunity to travel and recalibrate. The list goes on...

We’re all trying to do our best in light of our circumstances, but the inner critic is often the loudest and most ruthless. It’s easy to be hard on ourselves these days — seeing and feeling all the areas we’re falling short of “ideal”.

What we all need a little more of right now is grace and permission to do what we need to do for our families and our sanity.

What if we simply committed to slow down and cook together with our families one night this week? What if we did this not just for the end result but for the process? What would it do to that inner critic if we gave ourselves the chance to be present and return to the craft of preparing a meal?

So here’s an idea for you —

Just one night this week, return to the most ancient form of fellowship with your family and cook a meal together.

Be intentional about it. Don’t do it on a school night. Light some candles. Throw on a good French Cafe playlist. Involve the kids. Get a dance party going in the kitchen. Let it be a chance (maybe your only chance) to be fully present and reset in your week.

Then the rest of the week, keep it simple and easy. Do what you need to do. It’s OKAY.

 The simple act of cooking together one night this week could free you up mentally so you’re not stressed about meals the rest of the week, and it could be just the reset you need.

Hey everyone. Steve here. You’ve heard us say that hospitality is about leveraging our craft, to make other people feel valued and nurtured. That is exactly what David from Manchester exemplified in his day to day. David worked hard to buy his own food truck, and with that food truck he showed up everyday and provided warm meals for his community and even the homeless. We are broken hearted and angry to read that his food truck was burned down in a heinous act of racism.
Community is community, regardless of color. Let's show David that the hospitality community stands with him and we are there for him to both lift his spirits and help him have the opportunity to continue to do what he loves most, host and nourish others with his craft.

These are brutal times, with forces that many days feel stronger than us, bent on eviscerating nuance, igniting outrage and dividing any common ground. Hospitality is going to play such a pivotal role in how we heal from the trauma of these times. The table is one of the places we can come, face our perceived “enemies” and let food and drink remind us of our common humanity. In one act of blind, mean, ignorant and racist foolishness, a few people tried to break David’s spirit. Let’s show this lion of a host there is a legion of advocates that has his back. When they go low, we go high.
