Seeking an enthusiastic Chef to own their own business. If you have a passion for Culinary Arts and entrepreneurship consider this exciting new opportunity!

Location, Location, Location!! A short walk to Tsongas Arena, downtown, train station, etc. We are a family-owned bar and restaurant in Lowell that has been in business for 125 years! We are seeking an independent, self-motivated individual/s who would like to have their own food business.
This opportunity would entail a sub-lease of our kitchen where you would be your own boss and be fully responsible for any kitchen employees.

You must be able to work in cooperation with our bar staff as they are responsible for serving the food from your kitchen. Current kitchen hours are Monday-Wednesday 11 am-3 pm and 5 pm-9 pm and Thursday-Sunday 11 am-9 pm. These hours are subject to change based upon mutual agreement.

Our History

The Historic Worthen House is Lowell’s oldest tavern and restaurant. Visitors step into the past, dining under a pressed tin ceiling, in a space once occupied by the likes of Edgar Allen Poe, Jack Kerouac, Jimmy Breslin and Ed McMahon. A beautifully restored, pulley-driven fan system - one of only four in the United States and the only existing set in its original location in the country - can be turned on at a patron’s request.
