Start Here Serve There weekend kicked off tonight as we served alongside the team and helped with their Easter Egg hunt. These guys love their community well, and it was an honor to partner with them! Thank you to our Love Lubbock volunteers who gave of their time and worked hard to make the event a success for the families who attended. We look forward to serving and at South Plains Food Bank’s Grub Hub in the morning!

The Love Lubbock team is building a ministry to serve our foster/adoptive/kinship community. As a first step, we want to hear your story! Are you a foster/adoptive/kinship family? Why missions? I will never forget my first missions trip. Or my second or third for that matter. Each were pivotal moments in my life journey that God used to propel me into new seasons in life and in my relationship with Him. While we go to serve, missions trips are often vehicles God uses to do deep works in and through us-the kind that of works that leave a mark and a testimony of His faithfulness and hand. This September, Trinity Church and Love Lubbock have an opportunity to participate in a kingdom opportunity around the world! New Life Children’s Home is a Christian ministry that offers love and holistic care for Guatemalan children and youth, attending to their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in a family setting. Thanks to our incredible team, friends, and church family, we are officially OUT of boxes!! With over 700 distributed, 10% have already returned. National Collection Week begins next weekend!! Thank you for spreading the love of Jesus this Christmas season!!

Looking for the next serve opportunity after Serve Day? We have some next steps to get started! This month, pick up a box starting October 21 or 22 to pack for Operation Christmas Child! Then, join us November 18 as we head back out into the community and serve Grace Campus and our First Responders. Space is limited-so sign up early! Registration will open next week!

Whew! 150 volunteers is looking way better than 86. We love ALL of our volunteers who are stepping up to serve our city on September 23. Here are some ways you can get involved: paint an apartment for a single parent family (Register for Team Buckner), help direct traffic at the Children's Home's annual fundraiser (Register for Team Children's Home), serve breakfast and prepare homes for the homeless at Grace Campus (Register for Team Grace Campus). These are just 3 of the projects still asking if YOU will be the one to serve on their team. We hope to have you join us as we LOVE LUBBOCK! Are you a foster or adoptive parent, or a kinship guardian? We would love to invite you to a new Equip class as we, together, learn how to build trust and affection and be equipped with tools for intervention. We will be using “The Connected Child” as our book study. This class is open to foster, adoptive, and kinship families and will consist of weekly studies and once-a-month support sessions.
