Since its creation in 2010, the Post-Garza County Endowment has become known throughout the community for the great work being done to support local needs. As of the end of 2021, over $279,190 has been granted to nonprofit organizations that are addressing important needs in the Post-Garza area.

The Post-Garza County Endowment is an instrument for philanthropy. Donors do not so much give TO the Post-Garza County Endowment as THROUGH it. The Endowment provides opportunities for donors to achieve their varied philanthropic goals, invest contributed funds prudently, and serves as a responsible steward for the charitable gifts of individuals, families and organizations. As of the end of 2022, 149 grants have been created and over $312,530 has been granted to nonprofit organizations that are addressing important needs in the Post-Garza area. This scholarship was established by Shariβs family to continue her years of supporting the education of students in the Post Independent School District . She taught 4th grade in Post and was always focused on having her students ready to move up to higher grades especially by knowing their multiplication facts!
Eligibility:
- Student must be a graduating senior of Post High School.
- Have plans for a post-secondary education, but not necessarily in a 4-year college.
- Student must have a record of participation in community service, UIL programs, and/or athletics.
