The 2b Youth had the joy and privilege of attending the Lubbock Moonlight Musical production of "Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat." The group watched fellow 2b member, Betsy Bass, along with other cast members, bring the story of Joseph and his family drama to life. It seemed that all the youth could relate to Joseph. The theater experience underscored a powerful message from the Bible: God will never leave or forsake His people. Even at their lowest—imagine Joseph in that cold, dark prison—God is present and provides help. This powerful biblical truth was something the youth needed to hear.

A tremendous thank you goes out to everyone who helped get 2b Youth to the Lubbock Moonlight Musicals!

A big thank you to all the students, teachers, administrators, and staff who participated in our Backpack Blessing this past Sunday! As many of you start school this week, remember you have a whole community cheering you on. Go make this year amazing!

Join us on August 25th for a special Anniversary Sunday at 2b as we come together to celebrate our community and faith. Enjoy a day filled with fellowship, worship, and delicious food. We’ll begin with a united worship service at 10:45 AM, followed by a church-wide potluck lunch at noon. The church will provide chicken and drinks. After lunch, children can enjoy fun water activities, so please remember to bring swimwear and towels.

Get Ready for an Awesome July with 2b Youth!

Join us for fun hangouts around Lubbock! We’ll discuss challenges, reflect on the past school year, look ahead to the upcoming year, and explore what Jesus wants from us. Open to all 2b Youth and youth counselors from the recent 2b Leaders Camp. Bring friends or siblings from 6th grade through High School. 2b Youth volunteers are welcome too!

On Monday, June 23, the Youth Choir Group began a weeklong trip with 70 students and 20 adults from South Main Baptist, Southland Baptist, and First Baptist in Gainesville, GA.

Highlights so far include a day at Dollywood and performances at a retirement village and homeless shelter, and local church. On Sunday, June 30, the students will lead the 11:00 am service at FBC Gainesville, available via livestream.

That’s a wrap on the final week of 2b Leaders Summer Camp! We ended with a fantastic service project at Wilshire Place Assisted Living, where we decorated parking spots, sang, performed for the residents, and spent quality time with them.

This week’s lesson, “Lead as a Servant like Jesus,” was inspired by Philippians 2:6-9. Our 2b Leaders embodied this lesson during the project, learning that true servants live to help others, following Jesus as the perfect example. We live to serve Him by loving God and others, and our campers demonstrated this beautifully throughout the week.

We want to give a heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers who made the last four weeks a huge success. Your dedication and countless hours spent guiding these young leaders on a journey of service, leadership, and fun have been invaluable.

The story point is that leading with character when it is hard takes honesty and confidence in God’s plan. The kids engaged in activities that emphasize this important lesson today and will continue to do so throughout the week.
