The Madison Heights Police Department has received three complaints from people who indicated that they received a phone call from 248-585-2100 and the caller indicates that they are from the Madison Heights Police Department. The caller tells the unsuspecting victim that they missed court and have a warrant for their arrest. They instructed the victim to go to a 7-11 and get a payment voucher and they will meet them at the police station parking lot.

The Madison Heights Police Department WILL NEVER call people requesting that they bring payment vouchers or money to the police station, or they will be arrested. The suspects in these cases are spoofing the Madison Heights Police Department phone number to scam the victims. If you receive a phone call from someone purporting to be the Madison Heights Police Department, do not give them any information over the phone. Contact the Madison Heights Police Department at 248-585-2100 to verify the validity of the call and make a police report if it is determined to be fraudulent.

The Recreation Department and Madison Heights Community Coalition will be hosting the City-Wide Golf Outing on Friday, August 9, 2024, at Sylvan Glen Golf Course in Troy (5725 Rochester Rd, Troy, MI 48085). This event is $140, and the proceeds will be split between Recreation and the Madison Heights Community Coalition. The outing will include a four-person scramble with an 8:00 am shotgun start, light breakfast, snacks, and a delicious banquet lunch after 18 holes of golf. This outing is open to anyone!
