 For all the families who have love ones that pass from an overdose and had a flag with their loved ones name on them at Orblich Park off Atwood ave. They were destroyed last year and you need to go and get a new one for your loved ones. They have some flags out there that you can grab and remake for you loved ones. Or you can go to safer communities and get one to remake for your loved ones.

Everyone says: "If you need anything, don't hesitate, I'll be there for you ". I'm going to make a bet, without being pessimistic, that out of my family and friends that 10 will not take the time to put this on their wall to help raise awareness of mental health difficulties. So surprise me and prove me wrong!!! 🧡🧡 !

August is overdose awareness Month. We put flags up for our children, parents, siblings, friends, significant others and love ones.
I looked for my child’s flag today and noticed NO flags were out. I am not OK with the fact that there is only one month to put her flag out to make everyone else aware of the fact that your love one could die from an overdose. Yet I find out there is only a permit for two weeks out of the month to let their flags fly.
Especially when the media and government is telling us there is a mental health and op**te epidemic going on during this time of pandemic.
Guess what??? it’s been going on way before the pandemic happened. We need to make everyone aware that you will lose your love ones because of overdose. I am asking that we put these flags on the Capital lawn for the whole month of August that has been establish to be overdose awareness month.
