Volunteers truly make things happen! That’s why we’re excited to feature a different volunteer each week in our Main Street Monday newsletter and our social media.
This week, we’re thrilled to spotlight Alex Helton, the dynamic creator and owner of MadTix. Alex has been a dedicated volunteer with the Madison Main Street Program for over two years, contributing her time and energy to the Promotions Committee. Her efforts have been instrumental in bringing events like Girls Weekend, the Annual Gala and Dessert Auction, Music in the Park, and the themed Sidewalk Sales to life.
“I appreciate that MMSP offers a variety of ways to get involved,” Alex shares. “I knew I wanted to contribute to the promotion and events side of things, so joining the Promotions Committee just made sense!”
Beyond her role with MadTix, where she sells tickets and promotes local events, Alex’s involvement with the Madison Main Street Program has been invaluable. She brings enthusiasm and creativity to every project, even going the extra mile by creating and hosting trivia during the Girls Weekend Brunch each year.
Alex reflects on her experience: “I really enjoy getting to connect with other business owners in the area and meeting new people. The more we work together, the stronger our community will be, and I feel like volunteering is a crucial part of that!”
A heartfelt thank you to Alex Helton for all her hard work and dedication. Her contributions help make the Madison Main Street Program thrive and strengthen our community!

Rockin' On The River is a fundraising event for the local Salvation Army, featuring cars, motorcycles, & special interest vehicles along the riverfront. The car show will take place from 10am-4pm from Broadway to Jefferson St. Then "The Monarchs" from Louisville, KY will perform, and admittance to the concert is FREE! This year the Madison Consolidated High School Art program will open for the Monarchs.

100% of the money raised stays in Jefferson County to help the Salvation Army continue their feeding program and other helpful services.
