Happy Birthday to me! ✨🌷🦋🐣💝And welcome to anyone who’s new to following this account! In honor of all you new followers and to celebrate turning 60, I just wanted to share a bit about myself and my business.

I started Optimal Health Network over 25 years ago, shortly after becoming certified as a Colon Therapist. I found this path through my own experience with chronic illness - IBS and multiple chemical sensitivities, which began when I was 30. I discovered how critical colon cleanse and gut health were to my overall health, and since then have been committed to sharing my knowledge and experience with as many people as possible. I firmly believe that whatever you are struggling with, you CAN heal, and over the past 25 years of building my practice and working with thousands of individuals, I’ve developed protocols for a wide range of health issues such as constipation, a**l fissures, hemorrhoids, prostatitis, candida, Lyme, parasites, cancer, leaky gut, heavy metal toxicity, hormonal imbalance, and more. Whatever you’re dealing with, I would love to talk to you and support you to figure out a protocol that is just right for your healing journey.

In addition to my own path toward optimal health, I’ve dedicated my life to raising my children and evolving myself and our world spiritually. I love photography and gardening and have recently gotten into Pickleball! Over the past 12 years I’ve been writing a memoir that will be published sometime next year (more to come on that!)

🎮 Ever gone on a side quest in life and it turned out to be a whole arse mission instead?

Akin to this Saturday when I spent nearly an hour hunting down $8 in cash so I could buy a used item off the NextDoor app because the sweet lady I bought it from didn't know what a Zelle/CashApp/PayPal/Venmo was... 👾

When I lab-checked my hair minerals in June I wasn't expecting a doozy.

The results of my most recent HTMA (aka hair tissue mineral a**lysis) are showing that my potassium is looking optimal! But my sodium is still pretty low compared to last year, along with some other minerals.

Candida albicans is a type of fungus that lives on and in the human body, and is primarily found in the colon. In a healthy gut microbiome, candida is balanced out by other healthy bacteria such as lactobacillus acidophilus and doesn't cause any problems. However, sometimes, often due to diet or antibiotic use, the gut microbiome can become unbalanced and the amount of candida in the body can grow out of control, causing harmful symptoms such as yeast infections and skin rashes.

When candida overgrowth occurs, it's a good idea to start following a candida diet and complete a candida healing protocol.

If you see a doctor, you will likely be given an antibiotic or antifungal prescription and sent on your way. However, antibiotics are often not the best way to treat candida overgrowth, as they can kill not only the candida, but also the healthy bacteria that keep it in check. Antibiotics and antifungals are also more likely to cause more extreme die-off symptoms.

A candida die-off reaction, which is a type of Herxheimer (Herx) reaction, can occur when one starts killing off candida overgrowth in the body. When the candida is killed, it releases all of its harmful endotoxins into the body. This can result in your immune system triggering an immune response that can increase inflammation throughout your body.
