The King Coalition has coordinated the official City of Madison and Dane County Observance of the King Holiday since 1985.
The Martin Luther King, Jr. Free Community Dinner that is schedule for Friday, January 12, 4:30-7:00 PM at Gordon Commons has been cancelled due to the forecast for a severe snow storm.
At this time, all other King Coalition and other community events are expected to proceed as planned. Watch our page or our website at www.mlkingcoalition.org for any further updates.
Due to the inclement weather, today's MLK Choir rehearsal is cancelled. The rehearsal is being rescheduled for Thursday, January 11, 7:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Join us at the 39th Annual Madison & Dane County MLK Day Observance to hear from this courageous figure who VOLUNTEERED as one of the "Little Rock Nine" to help desegregate Little Rock High school in 1957. There is no cost to attend.

The King Coalition extends our congratulations to Dr. Charles Taylor and the late Wayne Strong as the recipients of the 2023 Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanitarian Award.
