Testing Saturday May 21st
Kids: 10:00am
Adults: 11:30am
Black Belt Candidates: 10:00am

Arrive 15 minutes early and quietly warm up or practice. Make sure you eat a light breakfast and you are hydrated. Come in full uniform that is neat and clean. Black Belt Candidates will begin at 10:00am and finish when all material has been tested. expect to spend 3-4 hours testing. Make sure to bring a snack. If you make a mistake, move past it and don't let it effect your whole test. I am not perfect and I don't expect you to be. Just do you best and you will be fine. If you should need to retest for some reason, one of the Black Belts will speak with you before you leave. If you aren't pulled aside by a Black Belt, then you did well and should attend the promotion ceremonies (Red Carpet). The best way to be successful is to practice regularly and review the Textbook.

Red Carpet and Potluck tomorrow at 11:00am. Make sure to bring something to share for the Potluck. New Ranks....Woot!

Now that your children are back in school, it's time to get them physically motivated, enhance their focus, which in turn helps with their concentration and schoolwork.

Our Trial Program is just the thing to introduce them to Martial Art and rein in their focus. The program lasts for 6 weeks and they can come to class twice a week. All this for just $95.00 which includes the uniform and tuition.

Rank Exams Saturday, May 15th at 10:00am for all Students. Make sure to Download MyStudio App on your phone and register for the 10:00am Test. There is no 12pm Test, but I couldn't delete it because someone registered for that time. MyStudio logo below.

New flooring installed on top of old flooring. We now have 2.25" of padding. Very pleased with these mats.

Upon pulling up the old flooring to vacuum, I found that it was never flipped and the underside was brand new. I could have saved a lot of money and been able to go another 6 years with the old mats,but I feel the new flooring will be better for my Students knees.

SSKJN Choon Ok Harmon, my main instructor for the first three years as SSKJN Barry Harmon was attending college a lot back then. I had a lot of fun demonstrating with her which helped to hone my falling skills. So much respect for them for raising me up with their standards. Can not express my gratitude enough...they completely changed my life.

In this Demo, we decided to throw in a surprise at the end. We were supposed to just fall over one the final technique, but added a little extra to it. Her reaction was great.

Very saddened by the news today. K*k Sool Won lost one of our Senior Masters today. SIKJN Eddie Sanchez from Galesburg, IL.

I met Master Sanchez in '92 while on tour with K*k Sa Nym. He was a very kind and wonderful man. I know everyone that knew him has their own story of how he imparted something positive in their lives. Always a kind word and always willing to share his knowledge, experience and guidence. He was a mentor to so many of us and the K*k Sool Family will never be the same.

I originally entered the martial arts world after surviving an abusive marriage, with a determination to reclaim my power and learn the skills to protect myself and my children. Never did I imagine that 22 years later, I would check the mail and get my announcement to start Masters Testing.💥📬💥

If someone told me that I would be testing for 5th Degree Black Belt, I never would’ve believed it. The abuse knocked me down then, but it lead me here to Martial Arts, to my passion in teaching. I learned to turn my abuse from defining me, to driving me to make a difference in the lives of women around the globe.

Here’s to the strength within all of us to find the light in the dark, the power to stand back up and forge forward, and the endless possibilities that come with perseverance. You never know where that perseverance will lead you, but I do know it will be somewhere beautiful! ✨

Testing this past Saturday for 75 of our future Black Belt students and Black Belts. Everyone is looking really strong as they progress through the ranks. Our Black Belt candidates tested for 4 hours without any issue. None of them were exhausted when they left, which is making me consider adding another hour on for them.

No Black Belt promotions this time around, but 8 possible in May. Thank you to my fantastic staff for assisting with this test. Much to everyone's dismay, Doug PSBN was unable to make it due to illness. Kameela JKN stepped up and proctored for the first time and she did a fantastic job.

Looking forward to all the new colors in the school soon.
