Don't miss this awesome event! Our mayor will share his views on this year's insightful book, being Heumann. Go Malden Reads !

Join Malden Reads on Wednesday, March 27th from 6:30–7:30 pm for a book discussion with Malden Mayor Gary Christenson as he leads a conversation about this year’s Malden Reads selection Being Heumann by Judith Heumann. The discussion will take place in the Ryder Gallery of the Converse Art Galleries and by Zoom. Light refreshments will be offered.

This book highlights disability awareness; hidden disabilities; the benefit of ADA to non-disabled people; advances in technology for people with disabilities; civil rights, human rights, and how bills like the ADA become law; the power of one person working in collaboration with a team to create change.

Just a reminder that we will be having our March Friends meeting at the Library Tuesday evening, March 12 at 7:00. A Zoom link will be sent tomorrow for those who cannot come physically. The Friends meetings are every second Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm.
We will be discussing our calendar of events: upcoming pop-up book carts, our May Book Sale, and our Wine-tasting Gala in June. We desperately need volunteers to help us with these events, so please consider lending a hand!
ALSO, the Friends is searching for a TREASURER. Anyone with basic accounting skills is welcome to apply. The duties include managing the Friends account, collecting and depositing funds earned from Sales, handling memberships/membership fees and preparing and presenting the Treasurer’s Report at our monthly meeting. Please reach out to any of our Board members if interested.
Looking forward to seeing you at the meeting! Thank you for being a Friend!
