Week 2 : Pujo Programme [ 10/12 & 10/13]

We are extremely delighted to host Washington’s first and only Pujo led by female priests. Our ceremonies, guided by these devoted women, are renowned for their elaborate rituals and deep spiritual significance. Witness Oikatan’s exclusive Maa Durga Arati featuring 108 women right after Sandhi Pujo and feel the profound reverence that embodies our Pujo. Participate in the joyous tradition of Sindur Khela, pushpanjali , Dhaker tale nach and make memories that last forever. Explore a bustling Retail Expo, a showcase of exquisite Bengali craftsmanship and artistry.

Week 3 : Bijoya Aada [ 10/20]

Enjoy traditional dance performances and music recitals that showcase our rich heritage, presented by talented local community members. This will be followed by a warm new family meet and greet and culminate in a grand mahabhoj!

We are in the last segments of finalizing Oikatan Durga Pujo plan and we can’t wait to share with you all the BIG news. This year for the very first time Oikatan will host an external artist as a part of our Durga Pujo celebrations.

Sahana Bajpaie, an eminent singer of this era known for her musical portfolio in Rabindra Sangeet, Folk, and Fusion will be joining us with her band for a melodious evening on Oct 5th. We are excited to announce this special event and looking forward to see you all at Kirkland Performance Center.
