Veterans Day Event. Mark your calendar to attend.
Well it's been almost a month since we had that week of excitement brought to Ashland. I think the months of planning and working to make this successful, paid off. We were fortunate to be able to have it since the next 5 or 6 cities have been cancelled until next year. This event took a lot of people to make it happen and the committee would like to thank the people listed on the attachment. We could not have done it without your support, rather it be money, time or work, it took it all. Thank you all for this and if anyone has been overlooked on this list, we apologize but appreciate you. It took all of this the make this successful and something I think Benton County will be proud of for a long time.
Well The Wall is gone and like they said, we will never look at this place the same. It will always have a different meaning. ❤️
Thank you Bert Conley for closing the event with Taps.
Yep Vic made me carry a panel. I think that is elderly abuse. 😂🤪
What great leadership from these guys. They guided us through every step of the way. Thank you Vic Muschler, Bryce Benson and Scott Schlup. Job well done!!!
The Wall came down.
Thank you to this group of great folks that helped take down The Wall. It was cold but they got it done
It’s been great but The Wall That Heals is on its way to a new destination. It’s been a great week and I was honored to be a part of it.
Houston we got a problem
At 1:30 today we will have a small closing ceremony. Taps will be played and a prayer said. At 2:00 The Wall will come down and on its way. Everyone is invited to attend.
Well today has been great. I am so thankful for all that came. The flyover did not happen. The planes came but the clouds were too low. Rather them be safe.
So tomorrow is the last day. If you want to see the Wall, you will need to be there before 2 pm. The Wall comes down at 2.

Tomorrow is the official ceremony for The Wall That Heals. If you haven’t seen it you are really missing out. Over the last couple of days, I have observed so many people coming and going but nothing compares to watching a Vietnam Veteran standing several yards away trying to make themselves walk all the way to it.
I have seen the Healing that this Wall does this week. Rather it be a Vietnam Veteran volunteering to help with the rubbing of names or one standing at a distance with tears in their eyes. I have seen healing.
So with that said, come tomorrow and honor these veterans. They deserve it. I know there are a lot of precautions out there but the event is outside in the fresh air. These veterans paid a price for us so bring lawn chairs if you want and just enjoy the fellowship and embrace the patriotism.

Left at The Wall: Letter addressed "To all of you" on The Wall and dated March 9, 1988. It reads in part, "I didn't know any of you, but my father did...I am too young to remember the war - I wasn't around, but now I know the true meaning of patriotism... I wish I could have known you."
