A note from Lauren: Hi everyone! My name is Lauren, I am the Director of Care Operations at National Foundation for Transplants (NFT) and have been working in the Health & Human Services field for nearly 15 years. Every day I am grateful to work with the incredible humans at NFT who share my passion and vision for providing the best, person-centered, support to those in the transplant community that we have the honor of working with. The transplant world is filled with unique individuals who are eager for the chance to embrace/cherish/celebrate life again, and at NFT we are excited to celebrate (these milestones) alongside of them!

Joy received a Stem Cell transplant in 2022 and with the support of National Foundation for Transplants grant assistance, her husband was able to take off work to be by her side during the procedure and recovery. A note from Linda: Hello! I'm Linda, I have fourteen years with NFT, all in Finance. I make every effort to ensure that our member’s requests for assistance are completed in as timely a manner as possible. I look forward to assisting many more transplant patients as they navigate the life- saving process of receiving a new organ. My favorite thing about the transplant community is hearing the stories from organ recipients and their families as to how the experience has changed their lives.

Patients who undergo organ transplants typically need to take immunosuppressive medications for the rest of their lives to prevent rejection of the transplanted organ. These medications can be incredibly expensive, this is one area where NFT can come in and support! We are here to ensure that the cost of a medication is not a barrier to saving your life.
