The Fun Friend Who Hides Their Depression
I've always been known as the bubbly one, the fun one, the one who makes everyone laugh.
But for a long time now, I've been faking it. Faking it to hide my depression.
I know everybody would be shocked - if they knew how much I am suffering.
If they knew about the voice in my head that tells me I'm worthless and that I'll never be good enough.
If they knew that some nights I just lie in bed for hours, beating myself up for all the mistakes I've ever made.
If they knew just how much energy it takes to fake a smile and survive my darkest days.
If they knew that sometimes when I say "I'm OK", I want someone to look me in the eyes, hug me tightly, and say "I know you're not".
MPD said officers responded to a call about a suicidal person on the edge of the I-40 bridge over the Mississippi River.
They said Officer Shaw was able to gain the trust of the teen who was outside the ledge of the bridge contemplating su***de.
The teen told her he was a new father and that life was too stressful. Police said Shaw, a mother, told the teen she understood what he was going through.
After 15 minutes of talking to him, she convinced him to hold on to her while she pulled him off the ledge to safety.
MPD said after Officer Shaw pulled the young man off the ledge, she told him things would get better, and he thanked her for being there and helping him.
If you are struggling with thoughts of su***de or worried about a loved one please Reach Out to the Genuine Love Foundation so we can get you the proper help remember you are never alone

On September 25, 2000, 19-year-old Kevin
Hines attempted to end his own life by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge.
Plunging over 220 feet at a speed of 75 miles per hour, he hit the water below, shattering three of his vertebrae and narrowly missing severing his spine by two millimeters.
Despite the odds, he miraculously survived the impact.
Upon realizing he was still alive, an intense will to live surged within him. Yet, the weight of his clothes continuously pulled him beneath the surface of San Francisco Bay.
For what seemed like an eternity, he struggled to resurface briefly, gasping for air, just enough to hold on to life.
Suddenly, he felt an unusual force from below lifting him above the water's surface, where he remained until the Coast Guard arrived. It was only later that he discovered the mysterious presence keeping him afloat: a sea lion had been supporting his body until the rescue boat arrived, as eyewitnesses had observed.
His story gained major media coverage and he has since become a motivational speaker and advocate for su***de prevention.
No matter what form your generosity takes, it adds something to the world. Whether it makes someone’s day, smooths their path, or just makes them smile, you’ve given something of yourself that is greater than anything it could have cost. 🙏🏾❤️💪🏾‼️

When you dance, you are releasing endorphins and other positive hormones into your system. This can help to reduce stress and anxiety levels. Improve mood: Dancing can be a great way to boost your mood. It is a fun and social activity that can make you feel happier and more positive.
Fashion has an undeniable influence on our mental state. Garments can improve our mood, boost our confidence or help us get into character. Designers and wearers may deliberately choose cuts, colours, and patterns that enhance the mood.
It turns out the benefits of smiling aren’t just limited to yourself — it can also affect those around you too. We’ve already talked about how our brains react when we smile, but we’re also rewarded when we see someone else smile too! The reward center of our brain is activated and it makes us feel a little better. Plus, one Swedish study suggests that we can’t help but react with a smile of our own when we see someone smiling — so it’s an all-out infectious loop of happiness.
No Matter what you do as a person we help each other and Need each other so that our mental can be strong and the help the ones that look up to each other. You can’t see or feel one without thinking of the other Genuine Love appreciates everything you do

Despite stereotypes, Black women also experience anxiety and depression.
Black women, taking care of their mental health often requires navigating a series of hurdles. Black women experience both racial and gender discrimination, constantly battling the care for their mental health.
For Black women, mental health challenges are often multiplied by the disparities of both race and gender. They are socialized to be strong and resilient, a stereotype known as the "strong Black woman."
Despite the pressure to be a superhero, Black women are more likely to report feeling sad, lonely, and anxious. However, they are less likely to seek mental health support than white women. Some Black women may not know that their emotions are a symptom of anxiety or depression. This can make it unclear that support could be necessary.
Dear black women you don’t have to define your worth by how quickly and throughly you respond to the demands of others. You are more than what you do for others. You LIMITLESS AND We appreciate you !!!
