Join us in celebrating Tennessee Tree Day! In partnership with Tennessee Environmental Council, Clean Memphis will distribute more than 200 native tree seedlings to our community partners and neighbors!
We invite you and the whole family to participate in this fun, family-friendly event that results in multi-generational benefits to our environment, communities, and public health.
We have a few tree seedlings to choose from; however, the trees will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. The tree seedlings include Elderberry (edible berry bush), Persimmon, Indigo Bush, Buttonbush, Wild Plum, Eastern Redbud, Flowering Dogwood, and general canopy trees (Oak, Poplar, etc).
You must register to receive free tree seedlings. Pickups are Friday, March 17th and Saturday, March 18th. See you soon!

Each year Tennessee Tree Day engages thousands of volunteers in a fun, meaningful, family-friendly event that results in multi-generational benefits to our environment, communities, and public health.
This weekend, Clean Memphis will host our annual Tree Giveaway and distribute more than 200 native trees (tree seedlings) to residents and community groups in Shelby County and the surrounding areas. We wrapped up our 901 Love Your Park challenge over the weekend. And, we couldn’t be happier with the results! Over the past couple of months, 35+ participants picked up more than 6,000 pieces of litter. We exceeded our goal of 5,000 pieces of litter!🌳

Meet us on the following dates where we will divide into teams and set out to clean up our downtown neighborhoods. After we’re done with our litter pickup, we’ll end with a Happy Hour, to include drinks and bites, hosted at one of our brewery and distillery locations. The first drink is on us! 🥃🍻🍺

A few important details…
- Clean Memphis will be providing the supplies you need for clean-up: gloves, trash bags, trash grabbers, high-visibility vests, water, etc.
- We will be using Litterati - a litter data tracking app - so you will need a fully charged cell phone. Clean Memphis will provide all details for Litterati at the event.
- You will need to bring your state-issued identification for age verification.
- You must participate in the cleanup event to receive a free drink ticket for Happy Hour.

Arbor day weekend is upon us! What better way to celebrate than to join Memphis River Parks Partnership on their many upcoming events. 💚

Their most recent project is innovative and turned has made Broad Avenue bike friendly. The BDC Hub has been manufacturing bike lane barriers from scrapped tires. They began installation last week in Binghampton! 👏Congrats and keep up the good work to the BDC team.

The Frayser exchange club took a turn when Shelly Rice became president in 2006. Since then, his passion for civic organizations have brought the club back to life and created a space for community members to share. In addition, Rice's relationships and connections have led to the success of the Frayser Exchange Club and the overall strengthening of the neighborhood.

Meet Shelly Rice, the man behind Frayser Exchange Club's revitalization Shelly Rice became Frayser Exchange Club president in 2006. The civic organization has flourished since, according to those in the Memphis neighborhood.
Litterati , the global litter data science company, is working with the City of Memphis Public Works Department to combat litter using a data science approach! Since the pandemic, Memphis has experienced an increase in illegal dumping, and the Litterati platform can inform what actions need to be taken to be preventative and monitor changing conditions! 💚

It's never too late to go green! Jack and Cathy Richbourg moved into the senior living center, Trezevant Manor, and were most excited about one feature, the recycling services. However, they were saddened to hear that many local haulers had stopped their services.
But even then, Jack didn't back down. With inspiration from Mike Larrivee from and help from Nancy from Green 365 and Madeleine Edwards from Get Green Recycle Works, they were able to get the CEO of Trezevant on board and establish a green team!
