Today we turn ONE!!! Happy anniversary to . Whew, what a year it has been!! I’m beyond grateful for the love, support, encouragement and more. Thank you God for the vision! Thank you God for the blessings! Thank you God for it ALL! Had it not been for you all, I truly don’t know where I’d be with MOM inc. Y’all gave me that push when I needed it most. If you are family, a friend of ours, or been following our journey for a while you’d understand fertility and infant loss has been something we’ve struggled with in the past. Planning your family and not being able to have children in your timing is frustrating. Having your child taken away from you so unexpectedly is disheartening and extremely difficult to face. However, this miracle baby came to us when we were least expecting it. I actually found out I was pregnant at the fertility clinic. My mouth hit the floor in utter disbelief when the nurse asked me, “Mrs. Morris, did you know you were pregnant?”. Imagine what that must of been like for me or any woman wanting to expand their family. This baby blessed our lives when we weren’t trying and were living our BEST lives. God really has a sense of humor. 💙

If you are asking God for anything, ask him to do it in his time. Trust that he will give you what you’re asking of him. Be patient. Channel your energy to other things that make you happy. There isn’t one milestone in life that defines you or your worth. Be genuinely happy for others and celebrate with them. Your time is coming.

This is probably one of the most powerful moments of any Disney/Pixar animated movies that I've watched. To my knowledge, "Up" is the first animated movie to touch on infertility and do so in such a powerful way. I remember the moment this scene came on. My gaze locked on it. Heart-beat increased with a sense of uneasiness, and then,

Sadness. Validation. Gratitude.

To me, there is no coincidence that the scene becomes fairly quiet with the exception of background music. It is a profound and unexpected moment.

Many people sit in thick silence and utter shock and despair in doctor's offices around the world as they are told similar news. If walls could talk, they would wail with agony.

Be kind to your friends who are struggling with infertility. Chances are, they will never share with you the deep, penetrating sorrow they carry. They won't show you the emptiness they feel - it's nearly impossible to do.

And, if you are one of those friends in the midst of the darkness of infertility, please know there is nothing wrong with feeling the full measure of grief that has now become your shadow. You are not alone.

Flashback Friday!
April 2020, I was battling so much even after receiving one of the biggest blessings I have prayed for, for so long. Truthfully, I did NOT think I’d ever get to be a mother. So many obstacles were thrown my way, so many losses. I had to force myself to even stop thinking about wanting to be a MOM. Because deep down I just knew that it’d never happen. But God clearly was like “Ha, just wait!” I said that to say this.. the impossible is Gods chance to work a miracle. Even if you don’t see or believe it right now, just know MIRACLES ARE STILL HAPPENING! Explore every option you have. Don’t let people/society make you feel as if “giving birth” is the ONLY way you can become a parent.

If you need help with finding resources (agencies, etc) do not hesitate to reach out!
This is why exist!

Stay the course. Trust the process. Miracles are still happening everyday!
