March 16th was Lexie’s 2nd anniversary as Assistant Distiller.

Today we raise a glass to the women of in Woodbury, Tennessee, just a bit southeast of Nashville. Short Mountain has a long history in the making of Tennessee Moonshine.

Short Mountain distills organic whiskey, bourbon, moonshine and a variety of other spirits from grains and products made on their 400 acre working farm.

Nicole Austin - Distiller and General Manager at Cascade Hollow (George Dickel) who has helped launch George Dickel Bourbon, George Dickel Bottled in Bond and the Cascade Moon Whisky series.

Victoria Butler - Uncle Nearest Master Blender and the first known Black woman master whiskey blender in history.

Tiana Saol - Head Distiller at Chattanooga Whiskey who helped establish Chattanooga Whiskey’s Experimental Single Batch Series as one of the most innovative collections in the industry.

Wanda Lee - Owner and Master Distiller of Gate 11 Distillery who has won national and international awards for the gin made in Chattanooga.

Nashville Craft has been had women behind their products for some time now providing us with great spirits, personal favorite is their spiced honey liqueur. When in Nashville make sure to carve out some time to visit for a tasting and cocktail with their fantastic small batch and handcrafted spirits!

Let’s raise a glass to the ladies at who work in the Tasting Room providing delicious cocktails and tasting experiences with the innovative and creative spirits coming out of Post Modern.

The distillery and tasting room is found in Knoxville’s Old City district. You can enjoy a fun tasting of all their spirits including American single malt whiskey, rye, gins, barrel aged cacao (personal favorite), elderberry and chamomile liqueurs…and so much more! As they say bringing together traditional and modern takes creating unique spirits.

Today we raise a glass and recognize the women at . They are not your typical distillery but have an incredible tasting experience that I highly recommend. You can visit one of their two tasting rooms with a variety experiences depending on what you enjoy and how much you like to taste. You can even blend your own bottle for a group experience. Their new downtown location is great when visiting downtown.

Wrapping up our first week of recognizing the incredible women working at the Tennessee whiskey distilleries along the trail, we raise a glass to the women of .

Just about an hour north of Nashville you can venture out of the busy city life to enjoy the spirits awaiting you at . Recently opened Old Glory restaurant and Silo Park offering spirit infused and made from scratch dishes along with their crafted cocktails.

Today we raise a glass to the women of Leiper's Fork Distillery in Franklin, Tennessee. Beautiful grounds to enjoy visit for a leisurely day with a tour and tasting which is best followed by one of their delicious cocktails!

The grounds and 200-year-old tasting room are are sight to be seen! If you haven’t yet, I personally recommend making a stop along the for a fantastic experience at Leiper’s Fork Distillery.
