Today we raise a glass to the women of in Woodbury, Tennessee, just a bit southeast of Nashville. Short Mountain has a long history in the making of Tennessee Moonshine.

Short Mountain distills organic whiskey, bourbon, moonshine and a variety of other spirits from grains and products made on their 400 acre working farm.

Between distillery tours, tastings, mixology classes, their restaurant and all the outdoor activities on the farm, you can make a day of it. The weather is just right to get out and hit the to enjoy all the great distilleries.

Lexie Phillips - First female assistant distiller at Jack Daniel Distillery who helped launch Jack Daniel’s 10-year-old Tennessee Whiskey, the brand’s first age-statement label since Prohibition.

Nicole Austin - Distiller and General Manager at Cascade Hollow (George Dickel) who has helped launch George Dickel Bourbon, George Dickel Bottled in Bond and the Cascade Moon Whisky series.

Victoria Butler - Uncle Nearest Master Blender and the first known Black woman master whiskey blender in history.

Tiana Saol - Head Distiller at Chattanooga Whiskey who helped establish Chattanooga Whiskey’s Experimental Single Batch Series as one of the most innovative collections in the industry.

Wanda Lee - Owner and Master Distiller of Gate 11 Distillery who has won national and international awards for the gin made in Chattanooga.

Today we raise a glass and recognize the women at . They are not your typical distillery but have an incredible tasting experience that I highly recommend. You can visit one of their two tasting rooms with a variety experiences depending on what you enjoy and how much you like to taste. You can even blend your own bottle for a group experience. Their new downtown location is great when visiting downtown.
