The goals of the National Association of Black Accountants include, but are not limited to, the following:
-To promote and develop the professional skills of our members
-To encourage and assist minority students entering the accounting profession
-To provide opportunities for members to fulfill their civic responsibilities

NABA Convention 2024 - Juneteenth Edition - Part 1
We opened the day singing the Black National anthem followed by a performances by BB Winans and Mike Ellison! Then for the opening plenary, there was a very candid fireside chat with Viola Davis.

We’ve spent the last two days with the AMAZING students of LeMoyne-Owen College! Tuesday, we spoke at the School of Business workshop to help students learn about selecting a concentration area. Today, we participated in the spring career fair. We are very excited about bringing a student chapter to this HBCU!!

We are happy to partner with NABA Nashville to host ACAP at Tennessee State University, July 21-26th. This is a FREE summer camp for high school students curious about or interested in accounting, finance, or entrepreneurship. ACAP is a dynamic week-long program designed for students to explore and define their career pathway.

We are on the campus of LeMoyne-Owen College today recruiting students for the NABA fold! LOC is the only Memphis HBCU and we look forward to starting a student chapter there in the spring semester.
This rounds out our fall plans to reengage Memphis students. We have been on campus at 4 universities! Our next step is to engage with faculty connections to support student chapters.
