The genius monks who took hot chocolate to Europe The Monasterio de Piedra in Aragón (Spain) holds a unique place in history: it is the site where Europeans first tasted what we now call hot chocolate.
"You cannot recall one single blessing from God without finding, side by side with this recollection, the image of the priest." - St. John Vianney
Every priest needs this... 😂
“When the father dies, the stole is placed in his hands. Tradition says that when he reaches heaven, God will ask him: I gave you life, what did you give me? Then the father shows him the stole and says: 'I gave you to my children or my son as a priest.'”

For every parent who is elated about having a "seminarian son," there's another mom or dad questioning their son's decision.
Parental support—or lack thereof—can make a huge difference.
Fr. Brett Brannen's new book, "A Priest in the Family", has helped hundreds of parents by gently answering their most common questions, helping them see the eternal significance of their son's vocation.

We have 3 new priests in Memphis! Congratulations to Frs. Rolando Perez, Andrew Raffanti, Kacper Wojcieszko! Please pray for them, and pray for the men in our Vocations Program, who were altar servers at this ordination Mass.
Ordinations are TODAY! Join us in praying for Deacons Rolando, Andrew, and Kacper as they are ordained to the Priesthood at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception! 🙏
We are so blessed to have them serving our diocese!
Last, but certainly not least... meet Deacon Kacper Wojcieszko!
Deacon Kacper came all the way from Poland in 2020 to join the seminary in the Diocese of Memphis.
Here's why he became a seminarian:
"I became a seminarian to be a priest, to serve among the people, to give people healing from and through Christ’s Sacraments." (“The surest, easiest, shortest way is the Eucharist.” -St Pius X, Pope)
God bless you, Deacon Kacper! You are in our prayers for your ordination tomorrow and your vocation as a priest! 🙏
A message to all Catholic parents out there: Don't give up!
Here are some awesome tips for parents from Antonia Salzano Acutis, mother of Blessed (soon to be Saint!) Carlo Acutis.
“When we face the sun, we get a tan … but when we stand before Jesus in the Eucharist we become saints.” - Blessed Carlo Acutis
Mother of Soon-to-Be-Saint Carlo Acutis Offers Tips for Catholic Parents ‘Parents must be the first catechists. They should read Bible stories and the stories of the saints…’
Next up is Deacon Andrew Raffanti from the Church of the Incarnation!
We asked Deacon Andrew how he views the priesthood. Here's his response:
"I view the priesthood as a life of prayer and service. I know it is the bridge between God and His people. Through-out my prayer life, I have felt the desire to be a vessel for God through the priesthood., and to focus my life on growing with God into the best man and future priest I can become."
Please keep him in your prayers as he makes his final preparations for priestly ordination tomorrow! 🙏
Meet our seminarians who will be ordained to the priesthood TOMORROW!
Meet Deacon José Rolando Pérez! He is originally from Mexico and his home parish is St. Michael Church.
His favorite vocation quote is:
“It is Jesus that you seek when you dream of happiness; He is waiting for you when nothing else you find satisfies you.” -St. John Paul the Great
Pray for Deacon Rolando as he prepares to enter this sacred vocation! 🙏
Today is the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus! ❤️🔥Here's why it's a great day to pray for priests...
Why the Sacred Heart feast is a day to pray for priests St. John Paul II instituted the World Day of Prayer for the Sanctification of Priests to coincide with the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart.
It's ordination week!! Keep Deacon Rolando, Deacon Andrew, and Deacon Kacper in your prayers as they prepare for their Priesthood Ordinations this Sat! 🙏
Never a dull moment in 😄
Just one more week!! Pray for our seminarians as they prepare for ordination! 🙏
“I want to be a soldier of Christ.” And as I’m saying this, I’m thinking what the heck does that mean?"
Read about Fr. David Santos' incredible journey to the priesthood: from a soldier in Iraq to a "soldier of Christ."
He was a soldier in Iraq and became a ‘Soldier of Christ’ Fr. David Santos’s journey to the priesthood led him through the warzones of Iraq. Now he serves Christ and fights for souls as a pastor in New Jersey.

One month away!! Pray for our Deacons in this final month before Ordination! 🙏
"When a priest celebrates the sacraments, his work is secondary to that of Jesus Christ. Thus, the sacraments do not depend upon the strength, the skill, the intelligence, the eloquence or even the holiness of the individual priest. For it is Christ who acts--though through His unworthy minister--in every sacrament."
Join us for the Priesthood Ordinations of Deacons Rolando Perez, Andrew Raffanti, and Kacper Wojcieszko!
The Ordination will be held at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Memphis on June 8th.
Pray for our seminarians as they make their final preparations! 🙏
