Today is a Terrific Tuesday to register for our Fall Music Semester. Classes will begin September 3, 2024 and will continue every Monday and Tuesday until December 10th. During the fall semester we also offer an afternoon snack and Piano classes to anyone interested ages 5 years and older. You can scan our QR code to register or click the link below !!! The Disney Experience at HSSO was great last night . If you missed this concert ,you truly missed a treat ! All of our students from our beginners to our advanced students/ interns did a phenomenal job !
S/o to our teachers and staff who worked diligently to make sure our program ran smooth!

We would also like to thank everyone who came and spent the evening with us listening to our Disney Medleys! Your participation from your seats made the program 10 times more entertaining !

Today is our last day of camp but don't worry, we will be back in the Fall ready to begin nurturing more future musicians!

Our week has been nothing short of amazing ! Our field trip to the Redbirds game was one to remember ! We listened to the tunes of the organ throughout the game and also participated in the celebrations as our Memphis redbird played a great game !
Our very Own Mr.Carl Johnson even had his time to shine with the flex cam! Thank you Memphis Redbirds for a fantastic day ! We look forward to our next game with you !

Join us June 27th at 6pm for our very Own Disney Experience Summer Finale Concert ! We will be playing some of Disney's most favorite classics and this is a concert you don't want to miss!!! Our concert will be at Metropolitan Baptist Church, 767 Walker Ave!

We would like to send our deepest condolences to the Brown Family during this time. Dr. Brown was an awesome leader, loved our CEO and COO and loved HSSO. Thank you so much to the family for allowing us to celebrate with our instruments yesterday. We will always remember him! 🙏🏾🙏🏾

“It is with great sadness that the Johnson family announces that our dear CEO, Michelle Johnson, died peacefully among close family on Tuesday April 2, 2024.Born in Memphis,Tn, she lived an amazing life doting on family and friends. Funeral services will be held at Metropolitan Baptist Church at 11am on Saturday April 13,2024. Everything is welcomed and accepted however, in lieu of flowers , we would love donations to what she loved the most , her Non- profit , Harmonic South String Orchestra via check, cash or cash app (9019497537) . We want her music to live on forever and touch as many lives as possible.She will be greatly missed and always in our loving memory as a strong woman.” There will also be a family visitation Saturday morning from 10-11am.

Harmonic South String Orchestra (HSSO) is observing Spring Break this week. There will be no classes/rehearsals at Metropolitan nor Cummings/LaRose.

Congrats to our intermediate ensemble for being invited to the TEA ( Tennessee Education Association) headquarters in Nashville TN to play at the Tennessee Challenge Do the Write Thing Luncheon! You represented us well !
