This what our currant legislators have taken away from us. They are stripping away our rights and passing laws that gives themself control of this state.
Dear citizens of Idaho,
Please take a moment to read this important CDA Press column by Justice Jim Jones, who served as Chief Justice of the Idaho Supreme Court from 2015 to 2017 and as Idaho Attorney General from 1983 to 1991. We are grateful to have his support.
The Legislature has stolen the people's constitutional legislative power.
By Jim Jones
In a brazen heist at the Statehouse, Idaho’s Legislature has robbed Gem State voters of their sacred right to take legislative matters into their own hands--to get around a non-responsive, lobbyist-driven Legislature. On April 17, Governor Little, playing the role of accessory-after-the-fact, signed legislation depriving Idahoans of their most precious power--the power to legislate when the Legislature stubbornly refuses to act.
The Legislature has passed and Governor Little has signed Senate Bill 1110, a bill designed to make it impossible for the people to use their constitutional initiative and referendum powers. The initiative has been sparingly used by people across the state to propose and approve popular legislation that the Legislature refuses to consider, like the Sunshine Law, Medicaid expansion and the homeowner’s property tax exemption. The referendum allows the voters to kill wretched legislation, like the unpopular Luna Laws.
Senate Bill 1110 gives our Legislature a complete stranglehold over the public policy that will guide our State into the future. The clear danger of eliminating the voters’ check on legislative power is demonstrated by the bizarre and irresponsible behavior of our legislators throughout the current session. With such a dysfunctional Legislature, it is essential that Idahoans retain their constitutional right to enact or repeal legislation.
Although it will be difficult to undo the Legislature’s theft of the people's power, there are two avenues available to rescue our democracy. Reclaim Idaho, the organization that forced Medicaid expansion upon our recalcitrant Legislature, is preparing to file suit to have the bill declared null and void under the law.
Reclaim Idaho has also filed an initiative petition to repeal the exhausting signature requirements of Senate Bill 1110 and restore the historic signature requirements for initiatives and referendums. Every registered voter in Idaho can help in this effort by signing the petition to get the initiative on the 2022 general election ballot. Voters can also donate to Reclaim Idaho to support this important work.
The Legislature played some sleight of hand with Senate Bill 1110, falsely claiming there was an emergency that required this odious bill to immediately go into effect upon the Governor’s signature. They did not identify an emergency because there was none. The emergency clause was included to prevent the people from running an initiative or referendum to overturn their dirty work. Reclaim Idaho anticipated this chicanery and filed its petition before the Governor signed Senate Bill 1110, so as to take advantage of the previous, less-insurmountable signature requirement.
An election with the initiative/referendum question on the ballot could be a defining moment in Idaho history. Legislators who voted to strip Idahoans of their constitutional right to fashion public policy with the initiative and referendum will have to answer for their arrogance. Many of them are the same people who have been so very disruptive in the current Legislature. It could present the people with a real opportunity to thin the herd and elect legislators who are responsive to the people and supportive of good government. This theft of the people’s precious legislative power must not go unaddressed.

US Election 2020: The 'dead voters' in Michigan who are still alive Trump supporters are making allegations of dead people voting. Is there any evidence?
Thanks to all of the election personnel and all of the poll workers.
This administration, his puppets and some congressmen have called into question all of the different state’s election employees, chief election judges and all of the thousands of poll workers who have come out to provide a true and accurate election for this country. Every person takes an oath to protect a fair election no matter the winner. I ask those people to explain how Republicans can be overwhelmingly voted into office but on the same ballot the president’s is fraudulent.
Every voter signs an oath they are entitled to vote and provides evidence upon registration. Absentee ballots and Vote by Mail are the same thing. There are several states across the country who only have Absentee or Vote by Mail. The ballots can be mailed or dropped off. These states also put into place laws that allow for the votes to be processed prior to election day.
These ballots are safer for the voter, eliminate the need for poll worker and cost less for the states. Ballots are only sent out to registered voters and each one is bar coded with that person’s information. These envelopes can’t be forwarded to another address or used by anyone else. Each returned ballot envelope must be signed on the outside of the envelope. As each ballot is received by the election’s office, it is entered into a special computer that reads the barcode and pulls up the Voter ID card to match signatures. If they don’t match or it’s questionable, it is rejected for further review. Only after this verification can a ballot be opened and counted. This process is the same as ballots cast in person, so the final results of all votes are available faster.

Ladies just found out we’re wearing pearls all day November 3rd. If possible necklace and earrings, OK. Pass this please. 💖Honor RBG
If she can vote we all can vote.
Our campaign is planning some virtual door-knocking in the next week, a text message going out to 6800 unaffiliated voters - and Diane needs your help.
The initial msg will be 'canned' but will be sent by authentic human volunteers ready to respond and engage with the voter one on one using either their smart phone or computer.
We need to raise $2000 to fund this project. We are asking your help - both as a volunteer and as a donor. It is vital that we put an end to one-party-rule, turning Idaho purple, and we need everybody to participate.
*The app is easy to use. We promise. RSVP
I am doing a get out the vote and vote for me text messaging program. I could really use people to help. It is very easy and you can do it from home on your phone or computer at your leisure. Respond messenger, Facebook and [email protected]
Please help me.
Thank you for any help you can give me.

We getting closer and closer to Election Day, and SW Idaho NOW wants to help our friend and NOW member Diane Jensen with her campaign.
We know everyone is working hard to make sure this election goes the right way, both nationally and locally (and if you're not, why not?). None of us wants to wake up November 4, knowing we could have done more and kicking ourselves for not doing it!
So here's another chance. We will be writing postcards to targeted voters in Diane's district to help bring awareness of her campaign and make sure people get out and vote on November 3. We will set up properly distanced chairs with postcards, address lists, pens, postage (please feel free to bring your own postcard stamps!) and clipboards at each seat. Bring your own chair, snacks and beverages and MASKS ARE REQUIRED!
WHAT: Postcard Party for Diane Jensen!
WHEN: September 29 @ 4:00-5:30pm -next Tuesday
WHERE: Phillippi Park, 2299 S Phillippi St. (we'll meet near the entrance to the park on Targee St.)
OPTION: If you are not comfortable in groups, we will offer a Grab & Go option. Let us know beforehand and you can pick up a bundle of 25 postcards to complete at home.
At the end of the event, we will take a group photo with all the postcards we completed, and those finishing at home can take a selfie for us to post on our page.
We hope to see you on September 29 to help Diane win!
Signs going up all over the District.
This is what Crapo said in March 2016 on nominating a Justice for the Supreme Court.
"The Constitution gives the President the right to make nominations to the Supreme Court, with the advice and consent of the Senate. As part of its role in this process, the Senate may, at its discretion, withhold consent. The next Supreme Court justice will make decisions that affect every American and shape our nation's legal landscape for decades. Therefore, the current Supreme Court vacancy should be filled by an individual nominated by the NEXT President of the United States."
REMIND HIM OF HIS WORDS BACK IN 2016. THE NEXT President.
The action was awesome and here is the lucky winner of the Barn Quilt. Josie Christensen installing it.

100 Years ago women fought and demanded the right to vote. We must again stand together and vote. Our motto should be VOTING IS MY SUPER POWER.
Mask-less, armed protesters stormed this state capitol building. Why? Earlier this week, a group of mask-less protesters -- many of whom were armed -- forced their way past police and stormed the Idaho statehouse. Why? Because they believe that the state government is overstepping its authority in trying to contain the Covid-19 pandemic. Yes, you read that right. Doin...
