Ms. Kaysha King is excited to join the Wilkinson family! She received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Texas Tech University, where she had opportunities to stage manage TTU Opera productions, perform two full solo recitals, attended the Music in the Marche Summer Opera Program in Mondavio, Italy, and performed with the Texas Tech University Choir at TMEA in 2016. Ms. King recently acquired a Master of Music Education in Choral Conducting from Florida State University, attending in both the Tallahassee and London campuses. Her previous teaching experience includes 5 total years of elementary music and choir, and one year as an AVID tutor. Other experiences include Choreographer for the Texas Girlsā Choir, Assistant Choir Director for Arlington Childrenās Chorus, choir member of the Arlington Master Chorale and performed with the TCDA Directors Chorus during their European tour. Ms. King is newly married, has a beloved Basset Hound named Maeve, and enjoys all things coffee related!

Student Device Loans
Mesquite ISD's student device program requires an annual $20 usage fee per device. This fee covers the cost of insurance and content filtering for the device. This fee will not exceed $60 per family. Payments can be made online by credit/debit card on the online payment portal. Cash or check will be accepted in person at the child's campus. The usage fee is not refundable. KEEP YOUR RECEIPT to show payment for multiple children at other campuses. You may also pay these fees at your studentās campus.
All usage fees should be paid by Sept. 6. If a studentās device usage fee is not paid by the deadline, MISD will remotely configure the device so that it will access approved educational Internet content only.
Hot spots are available for any student who needs home access to the Internet. You may obtain a hot spot from the campus at no charge.
Most students kept their device over the summer, so please make sure it is fully charged on the first day of school. Also, remind your student not to forget to bring the device and the charger to school each day.

Coach Hajji has a deep love for learning and enjoys helping his students reach their true potential. He has a bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Calgary and several years experience working within the corporate world. In his free time he enjoys playing soccer, reading, cooking, and long walks on the beach. Mr. Hajji is excited to start his next chapter in teaching at Wilkinson Middle School and looks forward to building long lasting connections with the community.

Mr. Bowen discovered his passion of teaching in high school after becoming a student teacher; from then on he knew he would pursue a career in education. Mr. Bowen earned his Bachelor's of Science with a focus of history at Texas A&M Univeristy - Commerce in 2018 and quickly found his first teaching job right after. In 2022, Mr. Bowen and his wife moved into their first home together in Mesquite and both are very excited to be apart of this community. Mr. Bowen is very proud to begin his sixth year of teaching at Wilkinson Middle School and to join the Wildcat family.

Brooke was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She graduated from the University of Arkansas with her BSE in 2012 and her MAT in 2013. She started her education career teaching in Pleasant Grove. She moved to Mesquite ISD in 2019, where she taught English and ESL at Horn High School as well as the librarian at McWhorter Elementary School. She graduated from Texas Womanās University in 2023 with her Masterās in Library Science. She is excited to be a Wilkinson Wildcat!
Anthony Cheeks is a native of Louisiana. Upon his graduation from high school, he attended the University of Arkansas on a football scholarship. While at the University of Arkansas, he obtained Bachelorās in Health and Physical Education. After college, Mr. Cheeks played professional football with the Atlanta Falcons. It was after retiring from professional sports that his career in education began with his first position as a Head Football Coach and Athletic Director for a private school in Dallas. In 1994, Mr. Cheeks entered the public education sector in Garland ISD as a PE teacher and varsity football coach for Garland High School. One of the many highlights of his career was being part of the 1999 Garland Owl State 6A Championship team and selected as an Army All American Coach in 2007, 2010. He continued his tenure in Garland ISD, received his Masterās in Educational Leadership from Lamar University in 2013, and completed his leadership internship while at Garland High School.
In 2014, Mr. Cheeks went to work for Dallas ISD where he served as Assistant Principal/Athletic Director at Sara Zumwalt Middle School and over the past 10 years while at Dallas ISD has worked in both the secondary and elementary levels at leadership levels and coordinating after school programs. Mr. Cheeks enjoys working with students from all walks of life, especially mentoring at risk students and for the last 20 years assisting and coordinating Special Olympics and the United Way Special Needs programs. Mr. Cheeks is excited to join the Mesquite ISD family and be a part of the Wilkinson Middle School team.

What an amazing way to end the year by doing a staff outing at the Rangers game! Thank you Texas Rangers for the free tickets for my staff. We had a blast.
Wildcat families, here's a great opportunity for your children to stay busy for the summer and continue to grow in their art skills. Spaces are limited, students will have to provide their own transportation and be committed to completing the program. The camp is COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE. It occurs each Thursday beginning June 13th and goes through August 8th.

We had such a great time honoring our 8th graders Thursday. It was a bittersweet moment reminiscing on the past three years and speaking life into their future as 9th graders. Thank you parents for partnering with us these 3 years to ensure your childrenās success. Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat.
