What a year to reflect on! 2023 was a year of many unforgettable moments that shaped each of us individually and as a church. We certainly witnessed the hand of God at work in our midst. With your help, through acts of kindness, support, and generosity, we made a tangible difference in the lives of those around us, embodying Christ's love in action. We are excited to see what 2024 will bring!

This week in the Awakening series, Pastor Jay spoke on Acts 1:6-11, on the importance of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers. The Holy Spirit empowers and guides believers, enabling them to live a life in accordance with God's will. Are you allowing the Holy Spirit to guide and empower your daily life?

We had a great shoe drive last month, filling 4 collection bins with shoes! Thank you everyone for helping Soles For Jesus continue their mission of changing lives, two by two!

We're thankful for this shoe drive at Evangel Assembly of God. They came with a great load of shoes that will make a difference in so many lives. Joyce and Cordell help lead our SOS Volunteer events and Zoe was on our last mission trip in Botswana. They all know the impact of shoes to share the Gospel in a powerful way!

We believe in missions to our city, our nation, and the world!

This Sunday, we'll be taking a Speed the Light missions offering in both services. Speed the Light money provides AG missionaries with vehicles and equipment to share the Gospel and supports organizations like Project Rescue that rescues men and women from s*x trafficking and Venture that provides meals to thousands of people daily and builds water wells in needed areas.

What a joy to share the production of Living Hope to our church and community last week! We saw hundreds of people attend, a dozen people commit their lives to Christ, gave out over 100 children's gifts to families for Christmas, and over 60 cast, crew, and volunteers each day making this all possible. To God be the glory!

A week ago, our beloved Kids Pastor - Dulce Criss - went home to be with the Lord. Dulce's heart for serving the Lord and others was evident in everything she did. She felt God calling her into ministry, and became a Pastor in our church, serving over kids ministry faithfully. She was always thinking of others, going out of her way to help, pray for, and care for others. Our church family is grieving over this loss, and we lean on the comfort and love from our heavenly Father during times of grief like this.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, December 23rd at Evangel Assembly of God. Visitation at 9am with a service following at 11am. A burial service will take place afterward at Wisconsin Memorial Park with a meal following at Evangel.

Shoe collection for Soles For Jesus is going on this month! Drop off your new and used shoes in the donation bins in the lobby. Thank you for changing lives in Africa through our partnership with Soles For Jesus!

Thankful for God's faithfulness!! This week, we're dwelling on the theme of HOPE in God.

THIS WEEKEND! Come see "Living Hope" this Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 10am. Experience the telling of Jesus' birth as it would have happened over 2,000 years ago and find the hope that is truly alive in Him!

This weekend after the performances of Living Hope, we'll be giving away FREE TOYS for kids for Christmas! From Fortnite nerf guns to Transformers and stuffed animals, there are toys for boys and girls to enjoy. Children must be present to receive a toy. One toy per child while supplies last.

Living Hope is a Christmas play sharing the story of Jesus' birth through Biblical characters, music, and dance. Bring the whole family to experience it!

174 Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes are on their way to kids across the world!

Thank you to everyone who packed a shoebox, came to the Packing Party, donated for shipping, and helped with the bake sale. It takes all of us!

Just a reminder that our church office is closed this week, and there will be no Wednesday night activities this week. We'll see you on Sunday, November 26th!
