We are a hacker/maker space in the Milwaukee area. Our members are interested in electronics, robotics, electric cars, computer hardware, computer programming, metal working, wood working, art, digital fabrication, and various other activities. Our 3,600 square foot rental space is located in Bay View. We have weekly meetings which start with a social mingling time at 6:30, call to order at 7 pm,

Member Project Round Up--
The fine art printing area discovered that the pottery area slab roller can be used as a printing press for relief and intaglio processes. They hosted an afternoon of demos and area training to share skills and ideas.

Come to our Spring Iron Pour on April 27th at 9am, watch us melt cast iron at 2700° F and pour it into member made molds! Safety meeting is at Noon, Projected time for hot metal is 1pm.
There is one more Mold Workshop this Saturday, April 20th.
Zero experience is required to attend the workshop.
3"x3" Artist Tile molds are $7
5"x5" Artist Tile molds are $15
Doodle Bowls are $45
You must make an Artist Tile before you can make a doodle bowl.
If you can't make it this Saturday for the workshop, don't worry. Premade molds will be available for sale from 9am-11am the day of the Iron Pour.

Some really amazing things happening here! Casting had an Iron Pour event in a blizzard and there were member led workshops in epoxy pouring and shot glass making.
Yes, we understood the assignment to decorate the jeebus out of the tree with the most random and hilarious things full of sparkle and joy. Thanks to all who organized and joined us for this darn good time.

Mark's from scratch acoustic guitar build using skills learned in a guitar building class with Luthier George Leach. The 3week class in California helped him make a deep-body OM acoustic guitar as a way to learn all the steps, techniques, tools, jigs, etc. that go into the process.

Floor space was cleared, walkways were shoveled, order was made, machines were fixed space projects were stowed and up for grabs increased significantly, on the one day a month where we pause our regular making and raise our chaos baseline to improve the space and work on group projects!

Space Improvement Day! The one day a month where we pause our regular making and improve the chaos baseline? work on space projects and enjoy each others company with tasty food after solid day of working together. We had over 50 volunteers at both locations being solidly amazing and getting it done. Thank you and we will see you next month.
Member project round up! OSB furniture projects, laser etched cups, pin bender for fancy electronics, stained glass, 3d printed dragons and ocarinas, cnc milled guitar pic holders, puzzle sculptures and a makerspace fire pit-burn barrel, and artisanal toast.
The triumph and sadness of glass dragons and challenging heatsoaks. lead a member class in making glass dragons out of bottles in his lampworking area at the Norwich Facility. A good time and new skills were had by all!
