We are SO excited to announce our September 29th feature !
Born and raised in Milwaukee, grown in an environment where determination was a must to be developed, Jonah Denae is an up and coming female rapper/artist with a sound you don't necessarily hear from the music scene in the city. But still, catering to the influence. To the structure of pen, endless discography of lyricism and rhyme schemes and a flow intertwined with versatility, Dena is a promising figure to bring back the feel of femcee hiphop that gives you a looksee of being rough around the edges and the realness of what can blossom within the cracks of the concrete. Poetry within her words. Rhythm within her lyrics.
'If I want it, i'ma get it. By any means necessary.
Under no circumstance." This is, Jonah Denae.
Tmar .creek will be in the building!!! Make sure you pull up to see .saintre & live 🙏🏾 Doors open at 6:30 show starts at 7‼️
We’re so excited for our TWO (that’s right two) features for this month to bless the stage x .saintre ‼️ Get to know them a bit before the show THIS Friday:
Keyba:
Blending a combination of ear catching hooks and lyrical punchlines on par with the likes of Lil Wayne and Jay Z, Keyba provides listeners with a hip hop purists dream in the form of a new wave act. Coming from Milwaukee’s north side she came into the industry with a hunger that many can relate to but few have the skill to feed. If there's one thing she is not lacking, it's skill. Whether it’s on club bangers like “Pop My Collar" which will be released on her newest project in the form of a multiple month single run or an emotional ballad like “Key Talk”, Keyba flexes her skill and routinely proves that she deserves to be in the best rapper alive
Saintre
From an early age Saintrè put all of his energy and effort into learning the tricks of not one creative trade but as many as he could wrap his head around. Working not only as a recording artist but also as a producer, photographer, videographer and graphic designer, Saint is truly a jack of all trades. These skills have come in handy as Spider Creeks creative director. Musically, you can expect to hear a pop approach and a rapper's cadence. This style bending sound is shown most notably on his project “Summer in St. Elsewhere”. A 9 track LP explaining the in’s and outs of a relationship gone bad and the emotions that weaved their way into Saint’s brain along the way.

On Kennedy Hughes:
Ms. Kennedy Hughes is a 16 year old, show stopping, fire spitting poet debonair with the ability to command a room large or small. She has graced stages and brought the crowd to complete awe without any assistance from ANYONE. She is absolute forced be reckoned with, and at such a young age she has graced stages all around the city of Milwaukee. We are honored to call her our feature for this month, as well as our brand new host of Sacred Garden open mic. Join us Friday, as we announce Kennedy as the 2018 host of SG!
Free of all costs, food and beverages provided, all art forms welcome! Located at the Arts @ Large Cafe. 6:00-7:30 pm! Be there!
If you haven't heard her name, You have most definitely heard her voice. You may not have walked in her direction, but you have most definitely walked in her movement. Her voice resembles that of a calling alarm. Her commanding presence will make the weakest into soldiers, and the strongest, stronger. Symone Leonard's dedication to the artistic community, and non-artistic community have been enough to change this city forever, yet she keeps pushing for more. This young, aspiring activist loses sleep to bring light and awareness to the issues of this city, and add color and positivity to a place that many have given up on. "This is what the youth fighting back looks like." We are proudly welcoming all of Milwaukee to come experience Symone's truth, passion, and power. Sacred Garden is excited to present our next feature, none other than our phenomenal host, MS. SYMONE LEONARD!
While her works are innovative and unique, Vee Adams isn't afraid to step outside the box. Vee is highly driven through the world of Arts as a dancer and spoken word artist. Using her words along with songs and creative visuals to leave lasting impressions and plant seeds within the community.
On and offstage she uses her gifts to motivate, uplift and encourage.
She hopes her words will resonate with the audience while helping those around her.
Sacred Garden is thankful to have her touch stage with pure fire, slay, revolution, and talent. Vee Adams is one of the many amazing artist that influence youth to thrive in Milwaukee. Sacred Garden presents their beautiful Feature Vee Adams. ❤
Milwaukee is in pain right now. In the words of Symone Leonard, "We are the screams that sit at the top of our lungs but won't make sound." Your voice is needed today, come down to Sherman and Auer with us to speak and heal our city.
ATTENTION! The site in front of Arts @ large is under construction but we will still be hosting SG! Hope to see you there. 6pm!
This Friday July 29th come out and vibe with us! ❤ please share for this special and amazing community gathering! Come see how hard the youth can fight back.
Hello beautiful people! Sacred Garden would like to introduce our July feature Shaquille Grandberry who is one of the DOPEST Artist in Milwaukee. July 29th he will be in the building and blessing the Mic and tearing down the stage with a unforgettable performance for us all.
Here is a small run down on why you don't want to miss this!
Shaquille “Feathersboy” Grandberry
A Milwaukee, brew city Rug-rat raised in the wine cellar of Wisconsin, Shaquille is the product of a mess of brokenness and the right outlets. He is a writer coined from exhausted journals and hope given steadily in the scratching winds. As an adolescent, Shaquille started writing in 5th grade, he later attended Milwaukee High School of the Arts, a Creative Writing Major, as a ways of jumping the threshold and becoming an active member of the artistic community. There he worked his way as co-captain on the Spiders Spoken Word poetry team and competed with other schools as a student of Still Waters Collective.
Wielding the pen to bridge the gap perception between the definition of self and society, Shaquille believes he is many things. Prominently, he is called an artist, poet, activist, and performer, king- of hearts, listener, mentor, and healer. Shaquille, now a Still Waters Alumni, passes the torch emblazoned into his world by alumni before him. To the very youth traveling the same routes he once traveled; he happily sews into the future authors/artist of SWC. Initially, Shaquille first picked up the craft of writing as a ways to connect with himself, but what he found was not himself fully, but the fire to inspire others.
Peace, love SG ❤
