Their legacy continues to inspire and unite us as we remember their sacrifice and dedication.

Meet Noah Berger, a 24-year-old with Iron Workers Local 8. Four years ago, Noah discovered the trades through WCTC, and it changed his life. While many of his peers were heading to pursue a 4-year degree and accumulating debt, Noah chose a different path. He joined Iron Workers Local 8 because he saw the potential for a rewarding career without the financial burden of student loans.
The process of joining IWL8 was straightforward, and Noah found the incremental training provided by the union to be incredibly valuable. Each step of his journey was supported by skilled mentors and a strong sense of community. Today, Noah stands tall as a journeyman, proud of his achievements and the brotherhood he’s found in the union.
For Noah, the benefits are clear: excellent pay, yearly raises, and comprehensive benefits. But what truly sets this path apart is the journeyman card—a "golden ticket" that offers the freedom and opportunity to be essentially self-employed.
Noah’s story is a testament to what’s possible with hard work and the right support system. If you’re on the sidelines, looking for a path that offers stability, growth, and a sense of belonging, consider Iron Workers Local 8. You, too, can build a bright future in the trades, just like Noah.
Your future is waiting. What are you waiting for?

Members Jose Martin and Nick Kappell had the honor of hosting this special experience!
Big Sister Madeline shared this wonderful thank you note to our donors who provided not only tickets to the Packers/Rams game for her and her Little Sister Jovanna, but an incredible experience with Packers gear, food, and more!
"Thank you so much for letting us go to the Packer game. It was an amazing experience! Jovanna described the game as “it was coolness! I really appreciate everything they did for us”. The sweatshirt they purchased will last her a long time and the food was amazing. The two gentlemen that joined us were very welcoming and friendly! They treated her like a princess. It was overall a great evening that we would have not been able to do without your generosity. Thank you so much again!" -Big Sister Madeline
We are so grateful to our donors for helping make lasting memories like this!
