The Path To Fellowship

Dear valued members and aspiring fellows of the American Institute of Architects, we are excited to announce that the Long Island Chapter will be holding a demystification class for all those who are interested in learning more about the process of becoming a Fellow. Being elevated to the College of Fellows is one of the highest honors in our profession, and we want to help you achieve this prestigious recognition.

During our demystification class, you will gain valuable insights into what the College is looking for in your submission, and how to go about applying for Fellowship. Our expert panel will guide you through the key elements that make up a successful submission and provide you with tips and tricks for presenting your best work.

We understand that pursuing Fellowship can be daunting, which is why we want to ensure that you have all the necessary information to pursue this honor. By attending our class, you will be able to better understand if you have the necessary qualifications to pursue Fellowship in your current resume.

And that’s not all…we are thrilled to announce the AIA LI Fellows Committee, composed of some of our most esteemed members who are dedicated to promoting excellence and advancing the profession of architecture. This committee will be dedicating their time monthly to help those who they feel are now qualified through this journey. We are honored to have their leadership in our organization and invite you to join us where you can meet and network with these accomplished individuals.

We extend our gratitude to John R. Sorrenti, FAIA, 2016 Chancellor of the College of Fellows/AIA, FRAIC, Orlando T. Maione, FAIA, Marc B. Spector, FAIA, and Dr. Carol Bentel FAIA FAAR'94 ASID IIDA LEED AP for their dedication and generosity of time. Their contributions have been invaluable in bringing this committee to fruition.
